I believe we're living in a day and a time where Paul the Apostle, and Peter and James and John would be jealous to be living in days like this. Here's why because they know in days like this, Jesus always comes. Jesus always comes. The Holy Spirit always pours out in moments like these, In spite of all the stuff happening in the earth and around us. He always comes in moments like this. Welcome to the City Light Church Podcast. He always comes in moments like this.

01:06 - Speaker 1
Here's what I've discovered about him he's good even when we're not. Paul was writing his son Timothy and said he said, even when you're faithless, god is still faithful. Even when you're bad, he's still good. And I'm telling you right now that, the goodness of God. I think sometimes we just minimize things and that's just a cool song and a remade chorus, but I believe it's a prophetic anthem. It's a prophetic anthem over this place like never before.
01:37
I heard these words in the Spirit during worship today Don't coast but accelerate. Don't coast but accelerate. There are moments in natural life that spill over into church life sometimes, and sometimes we get in this place after Memorial Day here in the States and we start moving towards summer mindsets. But I would tell you this don't just coast through the summer, but accelerate in the spirit through the summer. A word came forth last night that this was going to be a summer of the supernatural. I believe it's in the building, I believe it's in services, but I also believe it's in your life and in your house and in your borough and in your neighborhood and on your job and your family around the family table, all of those things. And I would just say that in the season of where sometimes we move into vacation mode. Don't forget your habitation of the Holy Spirit, amen. I think sometimes we're singing songs about God is so good and sometimes we can think of all the things that aren't going good in our lives.
02:40
And a few years ago I was going through a rough patch. I was getting ready to speak in a conference I had just lost. I didn't lose her, I know where she went. My mom went home to be with the Lord. My brother had gone home to be with the Lord. I just was walking through a season of grief.
02:59
I was at this conference. It was an assignment, but I was overwhelmed. I was heavy in the moment. And this missionary and her husband came up to me and she just whispered these words in my ear. She said she's from Mississippi, so she's like how, like that Y'all saying hi, hi, hi. She said, boy, god didn't promise you easy, he just promised you faithful. And I realized that God never promised me easy, but he did promise you easy. He just promised you faithful. And I realized that God never promised me easy, but he did promise me faithful. And I've discovered in some of the darkest, most difficult seasons and times of life that I've had to navigate things that I thought were going to kill me, destroy me, wipe me out. In those moments I found that the fruit of his faithfulness has been greater than the pain of my process. I believe that's a prophetic word for New York City and for a city like today the fruit of his faithfulness is greater than the pain of our process. You hear the testimony of what Pastor Boyan is sharing with us this morning. You hear the testimony of what Pastor Boyan is sharing with us this morning and it's amazing and he kind of minimizes those struggles and those defeats that were very real at the moment. Why? Because the goodness of God came in and overshadowed it.
04:16
There was a moment in first service where I walked over here and I smelled this fragrance coming from over here and I asked the Lord what is it? Because it wasn't like a perfume, it was like otherworldly to me, and he said it's the essence of the fragrance of Ephraim. Ephraim was one of Joseph's sons and his name actually means this to be doubly fruitful in your place of affliction. So every place that you walk through battle, every place that you felt like you lost, every place that you felt like you lost something, you were defeated or deflated in a place, the Lord causes you to come back and be doubly fruitful. Are you hearing me? He makes a kingdom demonstration. I, like he quoted that scripture God isn't mocked, but God doesn't mind mocking the devil.
05:06
Right that this is a season and a time. Here's what I feel for some of us in the room today. I had this vision that the, that the, that the enemy was choking in the room this morning and I asked the Lord what it was. And the Lord simply said these words I'm making him eat his words and the very things that the enemy spoke against you. God's going to make the enemy eat and choke his words, choke on his words. Are you hearing me that this is a season of a turnaround, moment in in in God.
05:40
I believe it with all of my heart. This is what I believe that we are carriers of the glory of God and the goodness of God. Do you understand that your life is a billboard? It's an advertisement for the goodness of God. That when people look at you, they'll have to declare God is good. That when people look at you, they'll have to declare God is good. When I look at their life, when I look at what the Lord is doing in them, even if they don't even know the Lord. There will come a testimony and a declaration that when people look at you they'll say I see the goodness of God. We're stepping into that moment. Here's what I believe, and I'm not trying to sound mystical this morning, but it is.
06:27
I feel like there is just the veil is very thin in this moment. That veil between heaven and earth, the veil in between what is and what isn't yet, is very clear. A lot of times we're listening to voices of the past. We're listening to all the things that we haven't seen yet and we sometimes are in that which wasn't or that over here, and the Lord is calling us into that which now is. Does that make sense that we're actually about to come out the other side?
07:07
I said this last night that, according to Hebrews 13 and eight, that Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever. He doesn't change, but he's always changing. He doesn't change in character. He doesn't change in who he is or what he does, but we keep discovering something new about him every time we encounter him. He never changes, but he's always moving. That's why a lot of us are always in transition. That could help somebody right now that God is always moving, so we're continually moving, following him.
07:43
I believe that this is one of the greatest hours. It actually is the greatest hour for the church. I believe we're living in a day and a time where Paul the apostle, and Peter and James and John would be jealous to be living in days like this. Here's why Because they know in days like this, jesus always comes. Why? Because they know in days like this, jesus always comes. Jesus always comes. The Holy Spirit always pours out in moments like these, in spite of all the stuff happening in the earth and around us. He always comes in moments like this.
08:21
In the book of John, jesus said these words in this life, you will have trouble, you will have tribulation. He's not talking about the great tribulation, he's talking about in this life, you will walk through stuff, there will be trials, there will be things. You can literally translate it as pressure. In this life, you will have pressure Pressure to quit, pressure to perform, pressure to a family pressure, church pressure, life pressure to perform, pressure to a family pressure, church pressure, life pressure, work pressure, all of those things and in this life you're going to have pressure. I don't know about you. I don't like pressure, I like peace. Right, I would love peace, but in this life you will have pressure.
09:02
Why Pressure is not necessarily bad. Actually, pressure is something that creates Any mothers in the room. How did you know? When it was time to give birth, you felt pressure. Then you looked at your husband and you grabbed his hand and said you did this to me and he felt the pressure. Pressure bursts something. The chair you're sitting on wouldn't be fit to sit on, wouldn't even exist had it not been pressure. The frames were formed by pressure.
09:38
I'm here to tell you right now that after you endure the pressure, there comes something even greater. In this life, you will have pressure, you'll have tribulation, you're going to have trials, but do not fear, like the world fears, but rejoice. He's saying, in the midst of the pressure, in the midst of the fire, in the midst of the storm, in the midst of all this stuff that's happening around us, all this stuff that's happening around us, throw a party, get excited. I'm about to show up. I'm about to show out. I'm about to appear. I'm about to move. I'm about to provide. I'm about to flex my muscle. I'm about to heal. I'm about to deliver. I'm about to release miracles. I'm about to provide for you. I'm about to show up in all kinds of ways.
10:22
Be of good cheer, get the champagne ready. You get ready to throw a party. Here's why I've already overcome the world. I've already overcome what's putting pressure on you. I've already overcome the pain you're walking through. I've already overcome the sickness and the lack and all of those things. So you be of good cheer, because I have no choice. Out of my goodness, I'm about to move in it. Are you hearing me? I here's what I believe the Lord is saying to us today. You cannot improve on the presence of God or the methods of Jesus.
11:00
And Mark, chapter four, verse 34 and 35, jesus, in his humanity, is fully God, but he also has this man element. He's tired. He's been ministering among the crowd, the multitudes, all day and for weeks at a time. And he says to his disciples come, let us go and cross over to the other side. I have a prophetic word for you. It's a season of crossing over. It's a season of crossing over.
11:25
So they get into the boat and as they go onto the boat, there's other little boats following One of the gospels talks about, and they get out in the middle of the lake, in the middle of the sea, and the storm comes out of nowhere. And Jesus, when he gets in the boat, goes to the stern of the boat, to the back of the boat, he makes a pillow and he lays down and goes to sleep. They come into this storm, rain is beating into the boat, the boat is filling with water, the disciples are looking around and they forget the goodness of God, they forget the first four chapters of Mark, they forget miracles, signs, wonders. They forget healing, they forget deliverance, they forget divine protection, they forget resurrection. And all of a sudden they freak out and they go talks among themselves and go you think that God actually brought us all the way out here to kill us? And the boat is tossing and it's filling with water and Jesus just stays asleep. He's like, wow, the first waterbed in history, right, talk about soaking, right. And Jesus just stays asleep. He's like, wow, the first waterbed in history, right, talk about soaking, right. He just soaking right. And the disciples finally have had enough and they go to the back of the boat and they go hey, jesus, don't you care that we're perishing? Did you bring us all the way out here to kill us. Duh, he's in the same boat. He's walking through the same elements. He's walking through all of this stuff that they're walking through, except his response is different. His response is rest. My friends, restoration begins with rest, and there's gonna come such an anointing and a surety and security in the goodness of god that when the storms come and the winds blow and it looks like you're about to capsize, that you just stay in that place of rest. Why? Because the lord is with me. He's in the same storm. Are you hearing me? You you know.
13:24
I used to think from Sunday school days that when the disciples woke Jesus up, he just kind of jumped up like Superman and said peace be still. But the more I know him, I think it was more like this Five more minutes, thomas, peter, can you hit the snooze for me, man? Oh, john, I was just man, I was just having a great dream and just give me a few more minutes. I think he got up and he kind of went like Peter, did you pee my bed? Peace be still. And the wind stops and the waves stopped. And they marveled and they said who is this? That even the wind and the waves obey him. And then he rebuked them for their unbelief. What did they doubt? Not his power, I think. They doubted his goodness. They doubted the fact that he loved them and wasn't allowed to let that destroy them. They keep going.
14:28
Okay, now you move into Mark, chapter five, and they keep going. Can they get to the hills of the Gadarenes, to the other side? He still wants to rest, he still wants to fellowship with the father and with his disciples. And here comes this man filled with demons down the hill. And the man says recognizes him as Jesus and said why have you come? Have you come to torment me some more? And this man was was naked, crazy guy Like he. He ran around naked, he lived in the tombs in the cemetery with dead people. He cut himself with rocks. He would come out at certain times of the day and people just got used to him in his demonic demonstrations. They actually got used to him in his trouble and his struggles and they would just go to the other side of the street and go there.
15:11
He comes again, but he comes to Jesus and he has this conversation and said have you come to torment me? And Jesus said no. And he asked this question what is your name? From my Pentecostal upbringing and training, I used to think that he was asking the demons what's your name? Identify yourself. But the more I know Jesus, I believe what he was really saying is hey, I know you're troubled, I know everybody around this place misunderstands you and they've grown accustomed to your bondage and you're by yourself and you're alone and I know you feel like you don't have any value and you're tormented. But what's your name? I'd really like to know your name because I'd really like to get to know you. And that's just like Jesus and the demons start speaking. We are legions because we're many and they start having this negotiation with Jesus. Like we know, we can't stay, but can you do us a favor and not send us back to where we came from? Don't send us back to Hades. Don't send us back to where we came from. Don't send us back to Hades. Don't send us back to the abyss.
16:27
And the crazy thing is is that Jesus actually answers the prayer of the demons. All of a sudden, these pigs come running down the mountains. Isn't that unusual? In the Middle East, you would have pigs anyway. But there was a little group of people. That's what they did. They were pig farmers and all of a sudden, the pigs break loose from where their containment and they come running down the hill and Jesus commands the demons to jump into the pigs. And then the pigs jump off of the, off the cliff and into the water and drown. Here's the truth. Jesus will show up in your storm, create an atmosphere of peace that it will cause every demon that's against you to drown in his presence of peace. It's who he is. He's the Prince of Peace. He actually took that storm and created an atmosphere for victory. Just think about that.
17:22
And that miracle upsets all the townspeople and the religious people of the day. Hey, you just messed with our economy and our culture and our religious system and that's way too much God in church. So, jesus, we're gonna ask you to leave. And he starts answering their prayer. They start moving away from the dock and here comes naked, crazy guy in his, in his, in his right mind, completely free and delivered, and he says Jesus, don't leave without me, take me with you. And Jesus doesn't answer his prayer. It's no, I need you to stay here and I need you to tell everybody what just happened to you. And moment. He went from a maniac to a missionary. In a moment he went from naked crazy guy to all of a sudden he is the town evangelist. Don't underestimate what God sets you free from. Don't underestimate what Jesus delivers you from.
18:21
A few years ago I was in a church in I won't tell you the city to protect the guilty, but it was Tulsa and my friend was planting a church there, an amazing evangelist, and we were doing a weekend similar to this weekend where we were teaching on the person and gifts of the Holy Spirit. And so there's teaching and activation and there's things. And there was a new couple that came to the church. They were there with him for about six months and they invited a family, a couple that had never been to the church before. And they go out and they eat before church and then they come to the church and as they're driving from the restaurant to the church, there's a man walking down the side of the road and the people in the backseat recognize that this is one of their friends named Christopher or somebody they know that they work with. So the people in the front seat said, hey, should we ask him if he wants to come to church? And so they pull over and they say hey, man, do you want to come to church? And he says sure, and he gets in the car and as soon as they pull away from the curb they realize that they've made a huge mistake and he's in no shape to come to church. He's three sheets to the wind, he's drunk, he's vomited on himself, urinated on himself. And so they realize that it wouldn't be the Christian thing to do to ask him to get out of the car. It wouldn't be the Christian thing to do to ask him to get out of the car. So the wives begin to text from the back seat to the front seat, and this was their conversation. I'm so sorry that this is happening. We should have known better. Lady in the front seat said don't worry, there's a lost and found. We'll get him some clothes. And when we get him there, you know, we just get him kind of cleaned up clothes. We call him a cab or an Uber, a Lyft, and we'll send him on his way.
20:04
They pull into the church parking lot and Christopher has a completely different idea. He opens the door, runs into the church, hooks a right, runs through the foyer, runs to the front of the church, falls down at the altar and just starts weeping uncontrollably. An elder comes and finds him and comforts him and realizes church is about to start and you can't have a drunk, smelly guy in the front of the church because that wouldn't be very churchy. And so they bring him to the kitchen area and I'm in there with the pastor and I'm drinking coffee and I say to the man when he comes in, I said hey, what's your name? My name's David. And he goes Christopher, a Cornstalk, native American, cherokee, indian and I said well, great to meet you, christopher, would you like to be my guest of honor tonight? He accepts the invitation. We got him a little bit cleaned up, but we brought him. We put him right on the front row center aisle right next to me.
21:03
Worship goes for a while. I get up to teach and all of a sudden you hear thump and Christopher's on the floor. Not under the power of God, he's drunk and fell asleep and just passed out in the aisle. So we pick him up and he sits back and he's at times making random noises, bodily functions like disruptive, and people are starting to freak out in the meeting and they're going. Hey, I thought he was a man of God. Why would he let this guy in the service. I thought our pastor loved us.
21:30
This guy, he doesn't even look like he belongs in church. I think this place is going crazy. If he could really hear from God, why would he do that? All of a sudden, I'm teaching, this is happening and I hear the laughter of the Lord in my ear and the Lord's going isn't it great, isn't it great? And I go, yeah, lord, it's great, but what's so great about it? He's like, isn't it great? He doesn't know how to behave in church yet.
22:01
So I finished my teaching and I said Christopher, would you like to give your life to Jesus? And he says sure. And I make him lift his hands Because unless it looks like you're being held at gunpoint, you know it's not going to be true salvation. And he lifts his hands and I say it's an international sign of surrender, like coming from you know, running to a loving father. He's going to grab you in your arms. And he prays the prayer and, like, all of a sudden, three demons come screaming out of him. And as the three demons come screaming out, he hits the floor. After a few minutes he gets up and goes hey, where'd my buzz go? Ah, forget it. This is better.
22:43
I was slightly concerned, a little bit offended, because I wasn't teaching on tongues until two o'clock on Saturday afternoon and this is 10 o'clock on Friday night. Then he really freaks me out and starts singing a prophetic song over me about my upbringing, about all kinds. It was this beautiful song of the Lord. And now I'm really, really concerned and a little bit offended because I'm not teaching on prophecy till four tomorrow. He's already ahead in the notes. So we decide we're going to go out to IHOP. We're done being spiritual. Not International House of Prayer, but International House of Pancakes.
23:23
I'm a little concerned about him because he orders rooty-tooty, fresh and fruity. But can I just get on a soapbox a minute? I do not like the way some restaurants make you order. Sometimes I just want pancakes with strawberries and blueberries on it, with some whipped cream. I do not want to call it rooty-tooty, fresh and fruity. It makes me feel uncomfortable. But all the waitresses will go. I'm like can I have some pancakes, you know, with the whipped cream and the berries on it? They're like what's it called? I'm just picking on IHOP, go, go. Just think about Denny's. Sometimes I want just an English muffin with Canadian bacon cheese and an egg on it. You're like what's it called Moon's over my hammy no.
24:09
I don't want that. Right, it's very uncomfortable. So we're at IHOP, we order, order, and this crowd of like 13 guys walks in and they are causing a ruckus. They're, they're, they're spitting the paper from the straws. Remember when straws actually were plastic and they were in paper? Um, yeah, don't get me started on soggy straws, but you know, that's not God. I don't care how much you love the environment. Jesus did not purpose that in his heart for us. Okay, right, jesus did not purpose that in his heart for us. Okay, right, new international day version Okay, so, so all of a sudden these guys come in. They're causing a ruckus, they're, they're cussing, they're yelling at the, at the waitress and all this stuff, and the manager's getting ready to kick them out and call the police. But Christopher just says excuse me a minute, and goes to this table of 13 guys, puts his hands on his on the table, he talks to him for a few minutes. After about three minutes, they all start weeping, like, like, solidly weeping. Next thing, you know, all of their hands are in the air and they're repeating after him and he comes back.
25:14
We said what happened. He said oh, I just saw people that were like me, so I did to them what you did to me, and everything's okay now. And within an hour and a half he went from drunken, demonized, to born again, filled with the Holy Spirit, prophesying, and now he's an evangelist. He didn't go through Bible college. He didn't go to the school of ministry. He didn't go through our prophetic weekend. He didn't go through my school of prophecy. He just had an encounter with God and God put himself in him to put him on display wherever he went. We said goodbye that night. The next day we show up at the church and Christopher's there with 40 of his newest friends. Now some of them have grass and stuff in their hair, some of them have rocks in their elbows and their knees. We say, christopher, what happened? He said I couldn't sleep last night. I was so excited. So I went to a place I used to hang out and I brought people here and if they couldn't walk, I just rolled them here. His ministry began by rolling drunks to church in the middle of the night. He doubled the size of the church overnight.
26:18
The reason I'm saying this to you is this is that, although we love church and I love this church and how God moves here and I want to protect it and holiness and the atmosphere of it. But what if God puts people in your life on a daily basis that don't know how to behave in church yet? What if God brings some people that might be a little bit rough around the edges into the house of God who don't know how to behave in church? Yet? If you don't have discerning eyes, if you don't have the gift of discernment, if you don't have the gift of prophecy, you'll actually miss the destiny and the call on their life and therefore there will be a deficit in your own life because they're carrying something you need.
27:00
And the reason I'm sharing this kind of a crazy story with you is on purpose. You don't judge a book by its cover, because if you judge a book by its cover, you may not open the pages to read the beautiful love story that God has woven in between the bookends. And I believe right now, with all my heart, that you're about to get to the really good part of the book. And I believe right now, with all my heart, that you're about to get to the really good part of the book. You're about to get to the really really good part of the book of your life, of my life, of the destiny and the purpose of God in this season. Are you ready for that? There is a commissioning I'm going to go back to this that there is a mantle, there is a mandate and there is a message upon your life to be kingdom demonstrators, because all of us have this cry on the inside of us, no matter how great messages we hear, all the moves of the spirit we've had, the amount of people that we've seen healing testimonies of in this ministry. If you're really alive in the spirit that all of us would have this cry, god, there must be more than this. There must be more than what I've seen. There must be more than what I've experienced. There must be more to, to, to where I've gone or known. Are you hearing me tonight, this morning, this afternoon? Whatever it is, what I'm saying to us is this there is an invitation to come up higher, because there are angels ascending and descending in this place and over your life, and you haven't seen anything yet compared to what you're about to see. Here's what I believe.
28:49
I keep hearing the sound of a combination. Remember those combination locks. Hear the click, click, click and God's about to bring you to that place where everything unlocks. He's about to bring you to that place where everything seemed like it was locked. All of a sudden, it's about to be. It's about to, it's about to drop open, it's about to come open. This is going to be a new time in a new season. It's going to take you time to acclimate to it. Come on, I feel the acceleration and the, the acclamation of heaven in the room today.
29:27
Father, right now, in the name of Jesus, open their eyes, open their ears, open their hearts, their spirits, to recognize that in this moment there is a connection and a collision between Kairos time and Kronos time, between natural time and heaven's time. Lord, right now, in the name of Jesus, lord, would you release that commissioning Lord? Would you, lord, release, lord, the methods of Jesus and the anointing of the Holy Spirit afresh and anew upon us today, in Jesus' name. In Jesus' name, amen, amen. Honey, that was on the keys this morning.
30:19
I saw just you tiptoeing through the tulips. I saw you dancing through fields of wildflowers. I saw you taking time to smell the roses and I heard the Lord say that you're on time. But you're not in time. It means there's a part of you that's prompt. You're responsible for those things. But the Lord loves the way that you take your time, and Lord loves the way that you take your time, and he loves the way that you take your time and you give it to him as an offering.
30:52
And I just felt even that word about Kairos and Kronos coming together is really a prophetic word for you. His timing is perfect and you're stepping into perfect timing. His timing is perfect and you're stepping into perfect timing. His timing is perfect and you're stepping into perfect timing. And the season of start, stop, start, stop, start, stop has come to an end. And so, lord, I just thank you, lord, I bless her into that, we bless you, into your next here's a cool word next expectation.
31:34
The Lord's about to release next expectations upon us. Don't look it up, it doesn't exist yet. It's an expectation. Into the next. Next expectation Come on, I believe this. It's time to get excited about the future again. There's a hope and a future. Come on, it's time for the church to get out of the molly grubs. Here's what I know Jesus is fully persuaded, he's fully convinced that you would have everything that he paid for at the cross. Not a portion of it, but all of it. Come on.
32:16
I believe, right now, in this place, there is that unlocking, there is that momentum, there is that unlocking, there is that momentum. Honey, I heard these words momentum begins at the mountain, momentum begins at the mountain of the Lord. I heard the Lord saying she looks all pretty and put together, but she's out of control. She's pretty and put together, but she is out of control. You know, fireplaces are safe places to have a fire, but you, my friend, are a wildfire, uncontainable and uncontrollable, just like him. And I just felt like the Lord said that this is a season where you're going to go from waiting to waiting, like from waiting about things or for things to actually waiting out into the deep water. And I felt like the Lord said he's going to bring you in over your head, he's going to bring you in over your head. I love this saying that everything over your head is still under his feet. And I just feel like this, that there's about to be a tweaking, even in the gifts of the spirit. There's about to be a tweaking even prophetically, on the inside of you. He's given you a different lens, the ability to see through the lens of his love and hear through his heart. And so, lord, I thank you for that, lord. I thank you, lord, for the book of testimony. You know we were singing last night Hell Lost Another One. I saw, like your prayer list, and it's like I saw the Lord putting check marks and going. Hell lost another one.
34:16
Throughout my life, I've had some successes and some misses. My greatest failure is this I could never get God to change his mind about me and I could never outrun my mama's prayers. And there's something with you and other people in the room about mama's prayers. It's kind of running and the Lord grabbing you by the elastic of your jaws and just snapping you back in place. You know, sorry for the descriptions. I know you're more refined up here in New York City, but where I live, sometimes you just gotta learn you something. Three laughs, that's all I got. Your prophetic words are getting smaller. Hell, fire and brimstone coming to you right now. Just kidding, calm down over there. Sparky Lord, thank you for your goodness, lord, your kindness, your love. That's better than life, but I thank you. I kept hearing man, that sound of abundance. Don't underestimate being faithful in little things. Don't despise small beginnings. What looked like the sound of a man's hand broke a drought In 2021, there was a flood at my house.
36:02
It revealed things that I would have never seen without the flood. We bought the house like four years prior, three years prior, moved in, we got a prophetic word about it. We moved into it Our first day there we were walking around and we were confronted by a neighbor who let us know that when I went to introduce myself to her, she said I'm not going to tell you my name, you don't need to know it and I don't want to know yours because you're not going to be here very long. I don't like you already and you're not going to be here very long. Welcome to the neighborhood. You know, it's like the welcome mic and she would just cuss. She'd be on the backs of her deck, just cussing, tormented, day and night. Sometimes she'd be yelling for her dogs, but she was like just tormented and she was cursing, cussing me, and it's kind of like do you understand that when they crossed over into the promised land, there are still giants there? Their focus wasn't the giants, the focus was the promise, but there were still giants there and sometimes on the way in and even when you're there, there's going to be these voices that try to get you to vacate your promise.
37:13
And so this flood comes, after three years of just constant bombardment, spiritually and verbally, and the flood comes. I'm out of town. I get home the next morning and I put my feet on the ground and I sink into the mud up to my knees and I just said, lord, this is a mess. And the Lord said if you give me your eyes, I'm going to show you the miracle in the mess. And the Lord said if you give me your eyes, I'm going to show you the miracle in the mess. And so I get to this place and put my boots on and my friends come. So my friends are there, we get ready to start work and my one friend has a word of knowledge. He said hey, let's clean up your neighbor's yard before we even start any work on yours. And her fence was down. So I'm thinking a good idea, let's put the fence up. I mean not to keep her out, but to keep her dogs in, you know like I.
38:05
And so we start working over there and immediately she runs out of the house, comes to me cussing me out. Why are you here? Why are you on my property? I said we're here to help you. Before we do any work on my property and yard, we're going to. We're here to help you. Before we do any work on my property and yard, we're going to do work on yours.
38:20
She can't figure it out. She said why are you here? I said because Jesus loves you and we love you and we're going to take care of your house before we take care of my house. She said I've cursed you, I've cussed you, I hate you and you're going to help me. I said absolutely, because love looks like something and this is what love looks like. Said absolutely, because love looks like something and this is what love looks like. So we clean up and chainsaws and we put the fence up.
38:46
By noon she's eating fajitas with us on my front porch. At six o'clock she shows up crying, knocks on the door and she has two six packs. I'm sorry, it's two 12 packs. Don't want to underestimate the generosity of God of Taco Bell tacos. Some of you are thinking beer. I know who the drinkers are. Okay, I saw it on your face. I saw you light up. I saw you laugh. You're like I want a neighbor like that, right? She said I don't have money, but I have tacos today if you were to listen.
39:23
Sometimes at night, sometimes in the morning, there's a new song coming from the back porch and it's a song of worship. It's a song of the redeemed and God knew how to release a miracle in the mess and the reason I'm sharing that is just like the man with legions of demons and my friend, christopher Acornstock, and just like circumstances and situations you can think about an American around the world, and wars and rumors of wars, and economies and politics and all of those things. I'm here to prophesy to you that there's about to be a miracle in the mess. It might be in the mess of your marriage. It might be in the mess of your kids. It might be in the mess of your finances. It might be in the mess of your neighborhood. It might be in the mess of your household. It might be in the mess of the world that's around you. But the Lord's about to give you eyes to see the miracles in the mess.
40:13
Can anybody relate to that word? Can anybody receive that word today? In the name of Jesus, come on, I believe it. He is about to show up in the midst of it. He's about to show up in the midst of it. He doesn't waste a thing. He doesn't waste a tear, he doesn't waste a prayer, he doesn't waste a moment. God doesn't waste anything. I used to start my testimony with I wasted the first 26 years of my life and wasted the first 26 years of my life. And then the Lord said you can't say that anymore because I don't waste anything. What you call wasted, god calls perfume. It's the fragrance of Ephraim, where he makes you doubly fruitful in the place of your affliction.
40:53
Brother, I heard the Lord say look at my son. I heard the Lord say look at my son. And I saw the eyes of heaven looking at you. And here's what I saw. I saw you with reins, walking horses to the water, taking people by the hand and bringing them to the well and bringing them to the water. There's the old saying you can bring them to the water but can't make them drink. But you're going to make that water, that living water, irresistible. You're going to teach people how to drink from the well of the Spirit. Brother, I felt like the Lord wants you to know that you're significant, that you're pastoring people, and they don't even know you're pastoring them. They just think that you're their friend, that you're having dinner with them, that you're interested in them, that you're talking to them on breaks, that you take time to have conversations, but you're pastoring people, you're bringing people to the water, to the well, and I heard the Lord say thanks for being a man of conviction, without being judgmental.
42:05
The conviction of the Holy Spirit is so beautiful in your life but at the same time it doesn't become condemning or judgmental. I love the Holy Spirit, don't you? I love that he's my comforter, but I also love that he's my convictor. I've walked through seasons of sin. I've walked through seasons of brokenness. I've always been thankful for conviction, because as long as I felt the conviction of the Holy Spirit, I knew he didn't leave me. He didn't just convict me of sin, he convicts me of righteousness. We focus on the negative, just like repentance. It's not just turning from sin, it's actually turning to God. And I'm telling you right now, conviction is coming to New York City. And I'm telling you right now, conviction is coming to New York City Place that anything goes and get whatever you want, at any time of the day or night.
43:09
Conviction is coming not just to convict people of their sin, but to convict them of righteousness, saying hey, you're better than that. Can I tell you something? God's about to undo what the enemy tried to do, and the people of God are about to get undone, and once you get undone you can never get redone. I'm just telling you right now, man, he's a redeemer and a restorer. Am I floating on puffy clouds, believing for rainbows and pixie dust? Absolutely not. I understand we live in a fallen world and there's all kinds of corruption and crazy, but I know that what we were singing is true. His kind, the kindness of mercy, his blood that was shed, the goodness of God, we're about to see it. There's about to be an awakening of it like never before.
43:57
In Jesus', mighty name. Brother, you've got some letters on your shirt, white shirt letters. You've got your arms folded right there. What's your name then? Christian, that's a good name. I'm a Christian, you're a Christian. Wouldn't you like to be a Christian too? Lord, thanks for Christian. Lord, I thank you for the unveiling. Lord, I thank you that you're about to unveil your face and he's about to see you as you really are.
44:32
Brother, I saw you looking into the eyes of Jesus, and it was this beautiful thing that you are each looking into each other's eyes and when you see eye to eye, that's what we say means you agree. And I saw you in agreement with God, in agreement with his word, in agreement with his heart, and I heard the Lord say my son stands out and he stands up, but he doesn't stand alone. And I just feel like this, that even that word about conviction he's made you a man of great conviction. It means that you've got character. It's like. This is what I believe, this is what I know, this is my standard. It doesn't mean that you're perfect, but it means that you're pursuing. It means that you're pursuing the Lord and brother, I'm just telling you right now, the hand of the Lord is about to deposit so much stuff to the very depths of your being, and I saw wisdom surrounding you wisdom in business things, wisdom in life.
45:32
And not just the word of wisdom, but even the wisdom that Solomon sought after when the Lord asked him what do you want? Do you want wisdom or do you want riches? And Solomon asked for wisdom. But even the wisdom that Solomon sought after when the Lord asked him what do you want? Do you want wisdom or do you want riches? Solomon asked for wisdom and God gave him both. I'm telling you right now that there is an anointing of wisdom and wealth. He's given you the wisdom first so that you actually know how to use the wealth for the kingdom.
45:57
I'm not a prosperity prophet Not everybody gets a Mercedes and a new house but I do believe this that there are moments where God marks us, and this may even seem like a simple word to you, but this is gonna be a moment that marks you. It's gonna be better than a business degree from any of the great universities or colleges. It's gonna come to you from the school of the Spirit. Doesn't mean you don't learn from other sources, but I'm telling you there's about to be almost like a degree from the school of the spirit. Come upon you in Jesus name, in Jesus name, in Jesus name. Honey, right there in the white sweater All day.
46:41
It was like I saw the Lord looking at you and I saw streams of the tears of Jesus flowing down his face. They were tears of joy, they were tears of hope, they were excitement. It's like when you watch your child walk across the stage at a graduation or down the aisle on a wedding day. It was that kind of like godly pride and satisfaction and I feel like that. This is a season where the Lord's about to envelop you and encapsulate you in his heart and from that place of his heart, it's like the Lord's going to open the curtains of heaven and give you glimpses into the future.
47:23
When I was looking at you earlier, I heard the Lord say tell her, this is the season of a hope and a future, and there's not just hope for today, but there's bright hope for tomorrow. And so, lord, I just thank you right now For this season of hope Rising up on the inside of her. In Jesus' name, amen, lord, I thank you for this amazing man who's like the Holy Spirit CIA. I don't mean to blow your cover, clark Kent, but here's what I felt, like the Lord said. He's anointed you like Holy Spirit secret service, like Holy Spirit CIA. It's where all the secrets are carried.
48:04
And here's the beauty of the secrets of the Lord. The secret things belong to the Lord, but that which he reveals belong to us and our children's children forever. But the secret is in the seeker. When you seek him, you find him. When you seek after him with your whole heart and I'm just telling you right now you're going to know the whisper of the secrets of the Lord in your ear, you're going to know the whisper of the secrets of the Lord.
48:28
And I saw the Lord giving you footing and almost like I saw you finally sitting back and relaxing and I felt like the Lord said that you've been one who's been living and going through life, but it's almost like you haven't found that place you call home yet. Like I feel like you always feel like you're in transition or doing this and so you never come to that place of like I'll unpack all the boxes or and I'm just telling you right now, the Lord's bringing to that place of home is where the heart is. And the Lord said that his heart is in you and with you. He's made his home with you. But this is going to be a season where you're going to feel like I'm finally home, whether that's church, whether that's just normal life, family, those things.
49:07
And I just felt like the Lord said never alone. Lord, I thank you right now that, even where the enemy would try to come in and create loneliness, that Lord today that's broken, and that Lord that there should be a season, lord, of healing him, even right down to the very place of his soul and his heart In Jesus' mighty name, in Jesus' mighty name. My little brother right there, what's your name, buddy? Right next to you, christian, christian, another Christian. I'm a christian. You're a christian. When you like to be a christian too, it's a bad joke. Tried it twice, didn't get no response. Somebody laughed over there. They might get a good word for that.
49:50
But christian, I just saw just the hand of the lord and it was like he. He grabbed your hand and his hand and you didn't like you weren't just walking together, but you just began to run together almost to the point where, like you would see in cartoons or TV shows, where that person's you know behind that their feet, come off the ground and just come running with. And I felt like the Lord said to tell you that he's putting you on an accelerated path with him in relationship. And I feel like this, that the Lord has anointed you to hear his voice, to know his voice. And there's I heard this word. It's going to sound again, maybe simple.
50:30
I heard the Lord say that he's going to be known as the real deal, like even in your, in your young life, you've had this gift and knack to just tell it how it is so you don't sugarcoat it. Sometimes you're like you can't say it like that, you need to say it nicer. You'd be walking to the store in a restaurant with your family like that person's no good right, and it's. It's, it's discernment, it's, it's this prophetic gift on the inside of you and I saw. You know the lord will temper it. He'll, you know. Let you say hard things in nice ways sometimes, but the Lord's giving you a cutting edge in the spirit and don't let anybody let that go dull Like I feel, like the men in your life, people in your life, are going to keep sharpening that sword of the prophetic in you. And so, lord, for whatever it's worth to Christian, I release all that I carry and more to him. Lord, let not just a double portion but an unlimited portion and supply come over him today. In Jesus' name. In Jesus' name Honey, you're kind of looking at me in the white shirt.
51:30
Yeah, you just rolled your eyes a little bit. That should be an international language, right? When women roll their eyes Like we should know what that means. Like don't mess with me. No, be an international language, right. When women roll their eyes like we should know what that means Like don't mess with me now, I'm just honey.
51:45
I just saw the hand of the Lord come upon you and it was like I saw your eyes just getting bigger and bigger and the Lord said he's opening up your eyes of understanding that you're not just going to see, but you're going to perceive, you're going to, you're actually going to know. And I feel like this is an eye-opening season for you, like the Lord's opening the eyes. We sang it last night here Open the eyes of my heart. And I just felt like the Lord is about to open your eyes to see. Even when I was praying that earlier today about the cloud the size of a man's hand, that word about don't despise the days of small beginnings, for in due season you'll reap. If you think not, there's some things you stepped out in, even in just, in faith, and the Lord said that it's gonna actually release like an avalanche of the blessings and the breakthroughs of heaven. And I felt like this I saw like the Lord putting tape over the enemy's mouth and every place that's created a lie in your head, that created an issue in your heart, even about your own self or image or all those things. It's like I saw the Lord healing that, and I feel like the Lord's going to use you.
52:49
You know there's that song, words of it I don't even know who sang it, but the words are she doesn't know she beautiful. I saw you helping women who don't even know that they're beautiful. You don't know she's beautiful. I saw you helping women who don't even know that they're beautiful. You don't know you're beautiful, but you're beautiful. And I just really believe right now, the Lord's about to give you your break, not a breaking, not a breakthrough, but when those doors open. So, and you're not a prisoner to life or circumstance, you're a prisoner of hope, according to Zechariah 9 and 12. It says return to the stronghold, you prisoners of hope, and I'll restore double. This is a season where the Lord's restoring double, double doors, double opportunity. And so, lord, I just thank you for that, in Jesus' name, in Jesus' name, in Jesus' name, in Jesus' name.
53:42
So I felt like the Lord said he came to terminate what people have called terminal. I don't know, I don't necessarily believe it's somebody in the room, but I believe maybe it's a parent of somebody in the room, that they have a terminal diagnosis and the Lord's gonna turn the death sentence into a life sentence. I feel like there's about to be a turnaround with somebody with a very terminal disease, and I would say that I don't even feel like it's cancer, I feel like it's something else and the Lord's about to show up and turn it around. I don't know how to explain it, but he's healing Felt like really, it's your mother on a cellular level. Did that bear witness with anybody in the room? Or is it my McDonald's from last night? See, I'd rather step out in faith and miss it than keep it to myself and have it right. That's you, yeah, so what's her first name?
54:37
So, lord, we thank you for Francis. Lord, right now, in the name of Jesus, there's no distance in the spirit. So we send your word to Francis, right where she is. And, lord, I thank you that there is a quickening in her physical body. That, lord, you're actually gonna even rejuvenate her. That, Lord, that you're about to do something in her mind. That, Lord, there are things you haven't finished yet with her. She is yet with her. She's about to come to a new knowledge and an awakening of your presence and your goodness and who you are. And so, lord, we send the word to Francis. Lord, we send the host of heaven into that room and, lord, I thank you. Lord, I don't know what the extension is, but, lord, I believe you're releasing healing, because that's who you are over her. And, Lord, you're never too old for a miracle and so, no matter her age, no matter how long she's walked with this Lord I know what you said today so we release a healing, a miracle, lord, the manifestation of that word in Francis' life, in Jesus' name, amen.
55:26
So maybe this would be the last point, but I just said I'd rather miss it in faith and get it right, and never say it in disobedience. I was in a meeting a couple years ago, a young adults meeting on a Monday night, and the Lord gave me this word about a word of knowledge with a name Steven Stevenson. And so I'm talking to. I go is there a Steven here, a Steven Steven Stevenson? And nobody responds crickets, okay. And so I move on. I explain like I'd rather miss it in faith and get it right. Blah, blah, blah. I minister a few more people. To be honest, I'm a little bit deflated, but I'm still going.
56:10
Finally, the meeting ends, there's about 10 people in the room and this guy comes up to me. I go. Hey man, I'm David, he goes. Hey, I'm Steven Stevenson and I go. When'd you get here? He said I've been here all night. I said did you hear what I said? He said yeah. I said why didn't you respond? He said I wanted to see what you did. And that night he gave his life to the Lord, not because of how I acted on the word of knowledge, but how I didn't try to sell it. And he goes. Well, it must be online. You're going to watch in three years and I want you to put a note, a thumbs up in the comment for me. You know, and let me go create a fake Google account so I could be Steven Stevenson. And he tells me there's 10 people in the room and I'm like where'd everybody go? I got it right. I got it. It had nothing to do with getting it right.
57:04
Don't miss it. Don't get so impacted by accuracy. You forget intimacy or even the purpose of prophecy, which is knowing Jesus. And the reason I'm saying that is because you can get really good at the gift and you can forget the purpose, and I just believe right now that the Lord laid an amazing foundation. I won't invite myself, but I do have some pull on the board At some point. It would be amazing to do like a school of the spirit, like a week-long school of the prophecy or school, because here's why I know how it transforms people's lives and it's about knowing God more and those beautiful things I believe right now.
57:52
What I just shared with you just created courage in somebody, because your biggest fear is missing it, and what I would have thought was a miss actually turned out to be right. It built my confidence. It built my trust in the Lord in a greater way, but it also helped me get rid of more and more of the fear of man. Are you hearing me? And so I believe the Lord is shifting some of those things. Hey, my man, you got your baby in your arms. You're getting ready to walk out. I understand all that, but I felt like the Lord said how you're carrying him is how he's carrying you, and I believe it's a picture of the Lord. But I also believe this is going to come a day where you're going to watch that son, feel like he's carrying you and it's going to be this divine exchange, not only of father son, but actually a friendship. That's going to be a beautiful thing. But I just felt like the Lord was saying to you that this is the season of open heavens and open doors and I saw walls of resistance, for whatever reason, and I saw walls of resistance coming down and that which resisted you, kind of like a headwind, is about to turn around and be a tailwind and propel you and accelerate you into the next season and even the one that's in your arms. I felt like the Lord said that I've made him like a modern day Barnabas. He's going to be a son of encouragement, he's going to know how to navigate and walk through both the business realm and the ministry realm and he's going to bring those worlds together. In Jesus name, amen, amen.
59:26
My friend, genius soundboard, we're Instagram friends. I followed you for about nine, 10 years and just come here a minute please. I know I'm in New York, I can be commanding like get over here, brother, you're not just on my Instagram thing, but I don't know what it was 10 years ago, nine years ago. But the Lord kind of lit you and written you on my heart and I don't communicate with you in those things, but I watch what you do and how you sell guitars and pedals and all of those things and every time I look at it I feel the excitement of heaven. And I asked the Lord what that excitement was and the Lord said he doesn't know it yet, but I'm going to create a new technology with him. I feel like there's, you know, it's a tweak, it might be a better mousetrap or whatever, but there's something that the Lord is doing. And even what some people have called a hobby, the Lord calls holy. Come on, what started as a hobby, the Lord calls holy.
01:00:41
And I was even watching you this morning and there was this moment. Just had your eyes closed and you're playing guitar and the Lord said he's here, but he's not here. And I said is he tired? Did he stay out playing last night or something? And the Lord said no, he's here, but he's not here. He's here, but he's also seated with me and in me in heavenly places, and I've made him a connector of heaven to earth. And I'm telling you, brother, when you play the guitar, the strings are going to prophesy. You're not just playing, you're prophesying. You're not just playing, you're prophesying. You're not just playing, you're promising.
01:01:23
I saw the Lord lifting a glass to you and like giving you cheers, and I just feel like that this is gonna be a season like, of celebration dinners, of just running, like I saw your running laps, victory laps in the days ahead, and I'm just telling you, even though it seems like it was slower than you expected, I'm telling you the Lord is about to cause you to be not only doubly fruitful, but I feel like the windfall of the Holy Spirit, the windfall of resources, is about to flow over you. And so, lord, I bless him today in Jesus name. Jesus' name, amen. Lord, I thank you for this house. I thank you for City Light. The city stood on a hill whose light cannot be hidden, but I thank you for her calling, which is sure, her time, which is now, that, lord, this would be a season where Lord there. Thank you for her calling, which is sure, her time, which is now, that Lord, this would be a season where, lord, there would be an emerging Lord, an emerging of this next generation of leadership and evangelists and revivalists and sons and daughters of God, carrying this flame of fire to the city and the nation and the nations of the earth.
01:02:35
Lord, I pray, lord, for a deep deposit, a deep deposit, lord. I pray, lord, for a deep deposit, a deep deposit. Lord. I thank you. Lord, you've given me the responsibility, but also the privilege, to release the prophet's reward. I release the prophet's reward over every person within the sound of my voice watching online over City Light.
01:02:56
As a church and a ministry, the prophet's reward is increase. It's also babies, but that's up to you. It's word, it's the gift of prophecy, words of knowledge, words of wisdom. It's also the word, the promises of God coming to pass and accelerated form and function. And so, lord, I pray that, lord, your people would hear better than I can hear, see clearer than I could see, know more than I could know and more accurately, proficiently, say more than I could ever say. And I release the prophet's reward over this house. Lord, they didn't just accept me, they received me and so, lord, I thank you. You said, if you receive a prophet in the name of a prophet, you receive a prophet's reward, and I release that over my friends and my family today In Jesus' name. Amen and amen.
