You hate this, you hate that, you hate the sickness, all these things, but then God uses those things as a setup to get you where he wants you to be. So we have to learn how to praise God, not for everything, but in spite of everything. Set up your memorial stone. Be a person of gratitude and thanksgiving David, who was about to face Goliath a giant, think about what he used as his weaponry. It wasn't just a sling and a stone, it was the testimony of God's resume.

01:09 - Speaker 1
Today we are talking about the day after pill. Amen, see that awkward silence right now, like some of you are, like Pastor Mo. Come on, man, I brought a guest today, bro. Well, they're in for a good time. Praise God. Here's the thing. As heavy as that subject matter is, just know that we're not afraid to talk about it. Amen, man, you guys look so nervous Before we get there.
01:53
How many people were here, not last Sunday, but the Sunday, but the weekend before last, when we had Prophet David Wagner here? Oh, you can clap, praise God. It was a mighty move of God. Amen. He's like nervous. No, no, it was a blessing. It was a blessing. It was a blessing because if you weren't here?
02:10
So we had a guest minister by the name of David Wagner. He actually sits in the office of a prophet. Now, that's significant because the Bible is very clear that all Christians are prophetic, but not every Christian sits in the office of a prophet. The Bible speaks about that, saying that to those that sit in that office, they're given a more sure word of prophecy, meaning the connection lines a little bit more accurate, a little bit more strong. Amen. And what prophecy does is it strengthens you, it edifies you, it builds you up, it gives you a sense of comfort and exhortation, it pushes you in the right direction and this happens at a great level when you have someone who's sitting in the office of a prophet. I've probably never met a minister who has more of the father's heart for the local church and in David Wagner, and he came and he ministered mightily throughout the house, gave prophetic words not just to Pastor Bo, but to many of you in the room Amen. And the thing is, I wanted to preach this message last week, but last week was Pentecost Sunday, so it only made sense for us to minister the message of Pentecost Sunday on, like you know, ministering a message on Pentecost Sunday, the day the week after Pentecost, it doesn't quite fit, amen. So Pastor Bo ministered an amazing message. If you have never been baptized in the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues, I suggest you go back and you watch that on YouTube or one of our podcasts, because you're going to need that. You're going to step into the next level in your faith. Amen.
03:43
But there's a thing about when you receive a prophetic word that you need to know what to do with that. And specifically that's why I wanted to minister this message about the day after pill, because sometimes, with the day after pill, what really happens is something takes place and you got to make a decision about what's going to come next. Oh, they nervous again. Oh God, I thought he to come next. Oh, they're nervous again. Oh God, I thought he stopped talking about it. He's back on it again.
04:09
Yeah, see, again some things happen. Some adults get together and they do these things. We're not even going to get into the logistics and the legality of whether you have a license or not to engage in such behaviors, but whether you have the license or not to engage in such behaviors, but whether you have the license or not, there are some people that engage in what's the polite term, coitus. And then some things happen where a seed is planted and a woman is impregnated, and now there's a decision that needs to be made because that thing is going to keep growing and it's going to turn into a person Amen. See, there are some Christians today that I don't know, that they feel a little uncomfortable because they've engaged in things that maybe they shouldn't have engaged in. Let me give you some freedom right now. Let me remove the ambiguity, if you will.
05:00
It is a sin if you are taking the day after pill to kill that which is growing. Maybe your last pastor didn't tell you up front. I'm telling you you are engaging in murder. Oh, but, pastor Mo, there is no. But, Pastor Mo, if you leave that which is growing, it will turn into a human. Did you know that the day after pill, it finds its origin, its technological and scientific origin, in the Nazis? They created it in order to kill more Jews, and the later this technology was used by Planned Parenthood as eugenics to eliminate those that look more like me, and then it was more broadly used by everybody in the world who just don't know Jesus, amen, yep, real quiet, but I just you know. We got to get the ambiguity out of the way. Like it is a sin, and I don't want you to think that it's not, you don't.
06:13
Here's the thing. Sometimes we justify things in our minds, we do the mental backflips that say, if I think about it, if I look at it just from this way, then maybe it's okay. No, it's not. It is murder Because, again, if you leave what is growing, it'll live and turn into something. But, pastor Mo, you was just talking about prophecy, how you switching between prophecy and abortion.
06:41
Well, here's the thing when you get a prophetic word and you get a promise from God, there is something that starts to grow and we got to think about what to do with that thing. Now it's a very, actually unfortunate thing, but the natural inclination of humans, when you get a prophetic word, the thing that is more prone to grow naturally, without any help, is doubt and unbelief. How do I know that? I know that from the scriptures, because even when something like an angel from heaven appears in bodily form and he gives you a direct message from God because this is what Gabriel said I am an angel who stands in the very presence of God and I'm telling you that this thing is about to happen and your only response is but how's that going to go down? G that tells me that the natural response when you get these type of promises and messages from God is doubt and unbelief. So I'm going to let the cat out the bag.
07:39
The one and only exception where you, as a Christian, are allowed to use the day after pill is to kill the doubt and unbelief that will be born in you when you get a prophetic word, because, again, that thing is naturally occurring and if you leave it alone, it will grow into something. Now, the scientific one will grow into a baby, the spiritual one will turn into doubt and unbelief. And what you need to do is you need to strangle the doubt and unbelief and you need to let the humans live. Come on, somebody say amen, okay, okay, we're on the same page. Look at you all nervous. So what do we do with prophecy after it's given? First, timothy 1.18 says this See, that's normally the part where we take out the cell phone that's blaring and we turn it off. Amen. First Timothy 1.18 says this charge I commit to you, son Timothy, according to the prophecies previously made concerning you, that by them you may wage the good warfare. Wage the good warfare. What is going on right now? Raise your hands by a show of hands.
09:03
How many of you know who John the Baptist is? Almost everybody. Do you know what the Bible says about John the Baptist? This is by the account of Jesus. Jesus testifies that John the Baptist was the greatest prophet among men. The greatest Old Testament prophet ever was John the Baptist. Now, just to put things in context, it says everybody who's a New Testament believer, who puts their trust in God is greater than John the Baptist. Just throw that out there. But when it comes to prophets, the Bible says that there is no greater man than this man. Amen.
09:43
Prophets, the Bible says that there is no greater man than this man, amen. This is a man who, literally from his infancy being in the womb, he experienced and was filled with the Holy Ghost, so much so that his mother began to experience the presence of God because she had him inside of her while he was filled. Imagine you get the Holy Ghost just because your fetus is dancing in the Lord, all right. So this is a mighty man of God, right, and he receives a message directly from God about things that are going to take place. How many know that prophecy is not just encouragement, it's not just exhortation. Sometimes it's forth telling. It's sometimes telling you things that are going to happen and giving you a promise of what is going to take place, amen. But the thing is we have to know how to properly receive these things so that we don't let them drop.
10:49
I've found that most prophecies actually are like dreams. There's a famous minister that said one time he asked the question, he said where are the greatest treasures in the world? You know? Different people began to throw up their hands, answering about you know different stock markets and different places like that. He said no, the place that has the greatest riches is the grave, because that's where the unrealized dreams and visions go to die. And in those graves with the dreams and the visions, are the prophetic words about the future, because if they're not stewarded well, they actually won't come to pass and they won't happen. So we got to know what do we do with these words? And I love it because we're actually in good company, because we find in the scripture many people who were just like us, where they get a word and they don't exactly know what to do with it. So we can learn a lot from looking at John the Baptist Because, again, this is a man where God spoke to him directly about what was going to take place and in part and parcel, he saw some of it, he experienced some of it, but not all of it.
12:01
Let's look at the scriptures. Let's look at the scriptures John 1, 32. And John bore witness saying I saw the spirit descending from heaven like a dove and he remained upon him. I did not know him, but he who sent me to baptize with water said to me upon whom you see the spirit descending and remaining on him. This is he whom baptizes with the Holy Spirit, and I have seen and testified that this is the son of God. Now keep this up here. I have seen and testified this is the son of God. God speaks to him and tells him what's going to take place.
12:46
He had the unique experience of seeing the invisible on earth. He saw the Holy Spirit come down from heaven and rest on Jesus at his baptism. God gives him a word you are going to open up the doors for the Messiah. What I'm gonna open the neck, oh Jesus, all right. He starts his ministry on this prophetic word. He's baptizing, calling people to repentance. Only. All of this just so that that one man could be revealed to the nation of Israel. And then, lo and behold, it happens to be his cousin, no less, yo cuz. Oh, that's in the Pastor Mo paraphrased Bible, by the way.
13:31
Yeah, I don't want you to get confused, because he's like I want you to baptize me, and Jesus, playing it real cool, is like come on, man, just let it be, let's do it, let's do what it do. Because he's like you want me to baptize you with water, I want you to baptize me with fire, let's go. Jesus is like, just do the thing, okay, I'll do the thing. Guess this amazing word. He sees the spirit of God. He sees what no other Old Testament prophet has ever seen. They experienced the presence of God back then. This is a man, the first person on earth filled with the Holy Ghost, because back then the Holy Spirit would come over a prophet or over a king or over the priest. But this is the first person on earth filled Because, remember, he was born before Jesus. That's just a little Bible nerd stuff. Just throw that out there for you. He sees and he testifies. This is the Son of God. You would think from there that he understands exactly what is going to take place next. Amen.
14:40
But we find that that is not the case. But we find that that is not the case. What we find is that in the scriptures, this is a man just like us, who doesn't always know how to appropriately steward the promises of God, and if you don't appropriately steward them, you can let them fall, and you yourself can fall into doubt and unbelief and depression, based on your circumstances. Am I talking to anybody yet? How many times has God spoken something powerful and good to you, only for you to look at your life and go? This is not what God said. Matthew 11, 1 says this.
15:25
Now it came to pass when Jesus finished commanding his 12 disciples that he departed from there to teach and preach in their cities. And when John had heard in prison what this is the man who saw the Holy Ghost, the first one on earth to declare that Jesus Christ is Lord, the son of God, but he's in prison. What type of ministry is that? And when John had heard in prison about the works of Christ, he sent two of his disciples and said to him are you the coming one or do we look for another? Wait, wait, wait. Do you see the dichotomy here? Do you see the switch? He sees and testifies you are the son of God and now it's. I need to write this man. Let me hit up this man's DM, you know? Uh, I'm in some trouble. So I'm just wondering are you the guy. I mean, I know I proclaimed you to be the guy because you know I saw the spirit of God on you and everything. And you know, in that moment it felt really good to get the word, cause how many know, when you get the word it feels good. But every day that goes beyond that. You have to deal with what's growing on the inside and it's the opposite of what God said. But you have to move past the mundane of normalcy and remember what God said so that you can get what John is trying to give, because what he said and what he testified is not what he experienced after the fact. So he goes are you the one, or should I keep looking for another? Right, look at how far the slope is. And it's not because he wasn't a good Christian, it's not because he wasn't a man of faith.
17:23
The Bible says this is the greatest of the prophets. I need you to understand the logistics. He saw the Holy Spirit. When was the last time you saw the Holy Ghost? Because some of you you're judging him like wouldn't have been me. No, sir, you see what the Holy Ghost does and you're still like. He saw the Holy Spirit and he still ended up in a place of doubt. This is why we have to be careful and make sure that we take our day after. Oh, y'all ain't seen that yet. But look what Jesus says, verse four.
18:09
Jesus answered and said to them go and tell John the things which you hear and see. The blind see and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up and the poor have the gospel preached to them and blessed. Is he who is not offended because of me. He was reminding him. I don't care what it looks like. Know that what God said is what has God said about you? What is See the thing about? The is part. This is where faith is required. Now, faith is the substance of that which is hoped for right. Faith is. It's a current thing, it's not a. Often we think of faith as a look, looking forward, but no, no, now Faith is.
18:53
What has God said is about you. Did he call you a victor? Did he say that you were healed from all of your diseases? Did he say that you were powerful? Did he say that you were rich? Did he say that you were blessed? Did he say that you weren't single? Oh, you got to get personal for the people. Did he say that that barren womb was eventually going to give forth a child? Did he say that you were not going to be stuck in that basement forever? Come on, what did God say about you? What did God say is what is the truth and what lie? Are you believing because of your current circumstances? Because what God said is sometimes doesn't look like what is surrounding you. But which one are you going to believe? The things that you see or the things that God said? It's still quiet.
20:11
We have to properly steward the prophetic word of God that is given to us. You gotta properly steward it. When God speaks something to you, you gotta know how to handle it. You gotta know how to receive it. It takes wisdom, hope and perseverance. Wisdom, because we have to correctly discern how to walk it out with the Lord and accurately step into bringing it to pass under his direction. Aka, you can fumble the bag if you do it by yourself. You ever heard of Ishmael? That was a fumbling of the bag. We got some issues happening in Iran right now. That is an Ishmael problem. That's when God promises you something and you feel like you know what. I'm gonna go ahead and just you said this is what it is, I'm going to do it, let's go, let's go. No, no, no. You have to do things according to the wisdom of heaven, amen. Just because God says you're going to be married doesn't mean that you go pick up the first pretty face that you see. Come on, listen. I've done some marriage counseling before and I've seen some people wreck themselves because they went for the first pretty face. Just hold on, let God bring you the one with character and integrity. Amen. That Proverbs 31 woman, jesus. Hey, that came from a mother whose son she taught how to wait on the right one. You need wisdom. You also need hope Because, at the end of the day, regardless of how good it felt to hear and receive that word, it's still something invisible that has been released to you that now forces you to utilize your faith.
21:53
The substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things yet unseen, according to Hebrews 1.11. And perseverance hope for the evidence of things yet unseen, according to Hebrews 1 11. And perseverance, because the honest to God truth is that we are subject to the timing of the Lord. I wish that every time a prophetic word went out, it would just happen like that. This is not controversial at all, but you just need to know this. When you get a prophetic word, it's not new information, it's confirmation. Amen.
22:27
Listen, if I come and I tell you a word that you're supposed to be a missionary in China and you have never thought about that in your life, put that in your back pocket and see what God does with it. Amen. Stop shipwrecking your life because you want some magical fantasy about what God wants to do with you. No, god is going to do with you what he's already been speaking to you about. I don't know why I felt the need to say that with such force, but there are some people looking to shipwreck themselves Transient, enthusiast, enthusiast, constantly.
23:03
You got a word, you got a word, got a word, got a word. Oh, tell me a word. Oh, yeah, I'm going to go to the nations. Oh, you're going to go to the nations and do what you can't even serve here in your own church. You know what it is. I feel like I'm skipping around, like, oh, let me tiptoe off of that. No, we're going to stay right here. If you want to come up, we can deal with that too. I got Chris and Jose. Jose stand up, let them show. Show them the guns, baby. Show them the guns, baby. Show them the guns. All right, this word that God gives you is not going to be this supernatural thing out of heaven that makes no sense to nobody.
23:53
God told me I was going to be a pastor and I worked a regular nine to five job that I hated for many years, and I knew that I was called to be a pastor. I saw it on the inside of me every day, and then words would come that would coincide and agree with that word, and if you looked at it from the outside, you would think that I was so disrespectful to the man or the woman or guy coming with the word. It's like mm. Brother, hey, she coming. I feel like the Lord is going to use you. You're going to be a prophet, you're going to minister the word of God, you're going to be a pastor. Don't you run from it. And I'd be like, yeah, amen. Because it wasn't new.
24:35
I'd been spending time with the Lord already. He had already showed me this is what I got for you, and I was stuck in life Unable to manage Because, remember, you take this thing but you can't make this thing. You got to receive this thing, and I'm talking about his promise and his word Amen, okay. Okay, promise, and his word Amen, okay. Number one we have to let life happen. I know this is, it happens to everybody, genesis 12.1. Come on Now. The Lord said to Abram get out of your country, from your family and from your father's house, to a land that I will show you. I will make you a great nation. I will bless you and make your name great, and you shall be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you and I will curse him who curses you, and in you, all the families of the earth shall be blessed. So Abram departed as the Lord, god, had spoken to him, and Lot went with him, and Abram was 75 years old when he departed from Haran. Did you know that this is not the first time that God spoke to Abram? It's actually the second time that God makes a promise to Abram via prophecy.
26:13
In the book of Acts we learn from a Holy Spirit-filled Stephen that God gloriously appeared to him back in Chaldea or Mesopotamia, that's modern-day Iraq. When God speaks to us, it's piecemeal. How can I put it? It's piecemeal for a very specific reason, because if he gave you the full, detailed step of everything that he wants you to do. You would get up and move to China. Anybody ever heard of? Everybody ever heard of Jonah? What you want me to go do what? Now I'm out.
26:52
Let's look at Act 7. Act 7, verse 2. And he said brethren and fathers, listen, the God of glory appeared to our father, abraham, when he was in Mesopotamia, before he dwelt in Haran, and said to him get out of your country and from your relatives and come to a land that I will show you. Then he came out of the land of the Chaldeans and dwelt in Haran, and from there, when his father was dead, he moved him to this land in which you now dwell, and God gave him no inheritance in it, not even enough to set his foot on. But even when Abraham had no child, he promised to give it to him. He what he promised to give it to him for a possession and his descendants after him.
27:37
Completed prophecy comes about with a combination of word and deed. Now let's stop for a minute so think about what Abram is going through. You live in a land of idolatry, with a pantheon of multiple gods, idol worshipers. Everybody got this other different thing that they're listening to. And then the God of gods, the God of heaven, appears to you, reveals himself and speaks to you and says I want you to leave your father's home, I want you to leave your nation and I want you to go to Canaan because I'm going to give you the entire land. Okay, and he doesn't know what to do with that word. He is under the direction of his father at this point To leave his father's household in that position, having no child and no inheritance. That was a big move. But he gets this word and he doesn't know what to do with it.
28:32
But this is why I said you have to let life and time happen, because look at what the scripture says in the book of Acts. It says that the God of glory revealed himself to him. But then we learn from the scriptures that he got home and his dad was like we're going to Canaan. Okay, god says, hey, I need you to leave everything and go to Canaan. Now he's struggling, trying to figure out well, how do I do that? And then, the moment he gets home, his dad is like you know, we're going to get up and go to Canaan. And it's so funny because his dad never even made it to Canaan. They got to a place called Haran and they got stuck there. They were there for about five years and it's only after his father died that Abram was like we got to make it to Canaan. Come on, you see what the scriptures is teaching us here, life and time.
29:29
Part of receiving a prophetic word and letting it come to pass is actually letting life unfold. I know we want it to be more spectacular than that, but sometimes part of your receiving has to be you getting up and going back to your life. Yes, david was anointed to be king over Israel, and guess what he did the next day? He went back to the sheep. Oh, you got some sheep to deal with tomorrow. Y'all, listen, sheep happens. Listen, sheep happens.
30:01
Completed prophecy comes along with a combination of word and deed. Life circumstances led him part of the way, as it will with you. So there's timing. Remember this. All didn't happen in one day. This is when you know the word is in your heart. I'm rereading my notes that I just finished. Praise the Lord. It's timing and balance. You know why I say balance? Because Jesus being our example, right, he is the perfect epitome of balance. You know, it's not just because he's God and man. But there's something beautiful that we can learn from Jesus and his approach of how he handled things.
30:39
I like to think of Jesus as my own personal velvet brick. You might say a velvet brick. Why would you compare Jesus to a velvet brick? Well, here's the thing Velvet. There's something luxurious and smooth and soft about it. You want it on your skin. It feels so nice it. You want it on your skin, it feels so nice. But I say a velvet brick because Jesus is firm. Jesus is going to tell you the truth and not compromise at every instance.
31:14
Have you ever been corrected by Jesus? Only the faithful will say amen. It's like I know how to break his rules. Praise God. Obedience is key, guys. But Jesus is a velvet brick because there's something about that unbending, unyielding strength. But it's also coupled with the soft luxuriousness of velvet.
31:37
Imagine getting hit by a velvet brick. It would knock you off your feet, but it would be so soft You'd be like do it again. And I see Jesus in that way. You've ever been corrected by God? He corrects you in such a way where you're like you know what. Thanks, I needed that. Listen, if you get in correction and it doesn't feel like that. It's probably not God. I know that because I have children and I correct them all the time and I'm proud to say sometimes it's not Jesus, it's a lot of Muhammad in there. But I'm learning. I'm learning Right, isabella. Amen, come here, baby. I got to show you to the people. So this is my baby girl. She's nine years old. She is the reason I'm a dad, amen. She helped usher that prophetic word into being by coming forth. All right, all right, get out of here. All right, thank you, thank you, thank you. So we let life happen one right Time and balance Two. We praise God for what's coming, what is and what was. This is key.
32:49
Genesis 12, six says Abram passed through the land to the place of Shechem and as far as the terebinth tree of Moreh, and the Canaanites were there in the land. And then the Lord appeared to Abram and said to your descendants I will give this land. And there he built an altar to the Lord who had appeared to him. And he moved from there to the mountain east of Bethel and he pitched his tent, with Bethel on the west and Ai on the east. There he built an altar to the Lord and called on the name of the Lord. So Abram journeyed, going on, still toward the south. Your altar today because I don't expect you going around building up these stone altars everywhere you go, these monuments of memorization your altar today is praise. Your altar today is that point when you remember, because back in the days you set up an altar so that every time you walked by it you had a memory stone of mm. That's when God did that.
33:47
I wish we would set up altar stones in our hearts. You know, the last time I was up here preaching, I spoke about gratitude 23,000 breaths. How many of them did you thank God for? How often do you thank God for the things that have happened in your life, instead of complain about them? Because we all know this from experience, that there are certain things that we never would have picked for ourselves. But those things have set us up for the beautiful futures and the presence that we have right now. But going through it, we would never say that, oh, I hate this job, you hate that job. That's where you met your wife. You hate this job. You met your business partner there. You hate this, you hate that, you hate the sickness, all these things, but then God uses those things as a setup to get you where he wants you to be. So we have to learn how to praise God in spite not for everything, but in spite of everything. Set up your memorial stone, be a person of gratitude and thanksgiving. That's part of how you hasten the promises of God. Promises of God.
35:04
Didn't David talk about this? David who was about to face Goliath, a giant? Think about what he used as his weaponry. It wasn't just a sling and a stone, it was the testimony of God's resume. He said I've conquered a lion and a bear, and this uncircumcised Philistine will be like one of them. You're supposed to look at the circumstances in your life and go. I remember when God did A, b and C and this thing in front of me can't stand because the God whom I serve don't fail. Oh, come on, y'all ain't saying nothing. Today you got to get like David and sing a Psalm 18 where it talks about all the things that he brought you through. Man, I wish we had some Marvin Sapp in here today. Never would have made it without you. Now you ain't getting no more than that. Look at that. You got that, pastor Mark. I got it A little bit.
36:14
My wife is like stop, listen, I'll be the first one to tell you guys and this has nothing to do with my message, I just want to shout out my wife. So I told the first service I'm married up. Listen, let's take a moment with Pastor Mo. Pastor Mo meant, if you will. So when it comes to prophecy, you have to be able to navigate and receive things that don't make sense. It did not make sense for me to be able to marry up, but I did have the word of the Lord that he was going to give me a spectacular woman. Listen, your current circumstances will not look like, they're not gonna look like any of what God said. But God did something beautiful in that he shaped the environment around me to make me prepared for what was coming. He even fooled my wife. Listen, I'm not going to lie to you.
37:31
The anointing makes you attractive. Listen, I am well aware I'm an attractive man. I understand. I don't. There's no false humility. I look in the mirror every day. I see what you see. I am attractive, I get it. But let's be clear, I'm a little puffy. Listen, when I got married I was nearly 400 pounds. Oh, yeah, you didn't know. Oh, like Jesus, that's, yeah, you didn't know, like whoa, like Jesus, that's a little more than puffy.
38:09
But the anointing came on me in such a way that she was able to see the good. And then the Lord started slimming me down. Lord, start slimming me down. But imagine, the Lord gave her a prophetic word too about the type of man that was coming, and it didn't look like what was promised. But she said God, the character, the mind and the heart that's in this man, oh, y'all ain't saying nothing. Church, see, that was your chance to shout. We find a way to praise God, not for everything, but Lastly, we speak what he spoke as we expectantly wait.
39:03
Genesis 12, 10. Now there was a famine in the land and Abram went down to Egypt to dwell there, for the famine was severe in the land. So immediately, there are two things Notice God just finished telling him in Acts 7, I'm going to give you this land. The first word was show you the land, and then the second word was give. Prophecy builds piece by piece. Rarely does God come and drop down a fully defined, minute by minute word that details every step of what is going to happen in your life. Again, he's not trying to shock and awe you, because if he does that, you will not know how to handle it. At worst case you will mess it up if you're not too scared to try to fulfill it yourself. But the second thing is God says I'm going to give you the land and then boom, the land is in famine and he's forced to leave the land.
39:50
There will be these circumstances that are contrary to what God said, and I'm not talking about slight variations, I'm talking about the absolute opposite thing of what God said Amen. So it's in those moments where you got to pull out the day after pill. Because what do you do when this thing comes and it's going to start growing if you don't do something about it? Because when you get the prophetic word, I'm telling you I don't want you to think of yourself as a bad person just because it's hard to navigate through doubt and unbelief. That's a natural part of human life.
40:34
You ever notice that sometimes somebody tells you something good about you and part of the thing is who? Me? Yes, you, I'm going to preach. Yes, you. We have to start taking that as our new mindset. Yes, me, I'm not going to be single anymore. I'm not going to be sick anymore. I'm not going to be broke anymore. I'm going to walk in victory. I'm going to walk in the favor and the might of the Lord. Goodness and mercy is going to hunt me down and overtake me all the days of my life, where the church at Aren't we called believers, believers, y'all ain't saying none.
41:29
This morning something happened and we only have a short amount of time to determine what's going to happen. Next you get the prophetic word. The word is given to you and the natural byproduct of the human existence is doubt and unbelief, sometimes the natural one. This is the only instance, as a Christian, where you get to use the day after pill. You have to kill that doubt that's growing. You have to remind yourself that the promises of God are yes and amen, amen, amen.
42:12
Now, how about this? Because I know that's super controversial and so many of you are just nervous, like the day after Pilhout. What does he mean? I'll give you a little less strenuous way of think about it. Like this Prophecy is a tour guide.
42:27
What do you mean? Prophecy is a tour guide. Well, here's the thing. What does a tour guide do? In the most general sense, a tour guide provides assistance and information about where you're going and it gives context to what you're currently seeing. So for many years, my family and I we've gone to Philadelphia and we've taken many a tour before. We've adopted Philadelphia as like a second home, if you will. We try to vacation there at least once a year, and I remember the first time we went, we were like walking around the city for like hours and then finally got on the tour. And it's funny because if you don't pay attention, your tour guide will say some things and you will miss it. But again, your tour guide is supposed some things and you will miss it. But again, your tour guide is supposed and yes, I know, metaphor upon metaphor, follow me. Prophecy is a tour guide. Amen, you're still with me. All right, you can only activate your tour guide with faith. That's how you pay for it, amen. So now, as you're going, your tour guide, it is helping you, it is explaining things to you, it is giving you the historical context behind what you see.
43:38
Sometimes you start dealing with family and you're like why is this person this way? Well, hello, I'm your tour guide, your prophetic ace. Let me tell you the person right now you're seeing. They're dealing with traumatic stress from their childhood. This is the way that they are, but don't worry, god is going to make them the man and the woman of God that will stand beside you in faith. Praise him, because you see and you experience things in the natural and go. There's no way. How am I going to keep working here with these people. I can't stand these people. You're only here for another eight months. God is going to connect you with your business partner and from here you're going to create a business that's going to take you out of this God forsaken place.
44:22
Praise him, thank you you prophetic tour guide, because when the prophecy comes over your life, your life doesn't look like what the prophecy is saying. I'm so lonely, jesus, I'm tired of going to sleep without pies and thighs. Lord, help, help me. You didn't give me the gift to sing on this, jesus. I read about it in the scriptures and if you gave it to me, I don't want it. The Lord will bless you with a. Help me. Praise him. And then it prepares your heart so that, in the longing and the loneliness, you have an expectation of what is to come and you get to step outside of yourself. And this is where you exercise the faith. God, I can't see what you've promised, but thank you because I believe that it's coming. I trust that what you're saying is going to happen, because it doesn't look like it right now. All I see is loneliness, and then God comes through. Eventually, only the baby can say amen. Worship team, you can come on up.
45:58
You have to actively be alert to what the guide is directing you to, or you will miss it by distracting yourself with worry and unbelief and doubt you to, or you will miss it by distracting yourself with worry and unbelief and doubt. Actually, I want to read this. It's the same verse that we read earlier. But there's something about the King James Version that I always find that really soothes me and prepares me. First, timothy 118,. It says this charge I commit unto thee, son Timothy, and forgive me, because I cannot read the King's James unless I read it this way. That's just how I was raised, praise God. So this charge I commit unto thee, son Timothy, according to the prophecies which went before on thee, that thou by them might war a good warfare. Paul told Timothy to use the prophecy placed on his life to fight and win. You're supposed to take the things that God promised you and that arms you. That equips you to knock if you buck. See, half the crowd is like knock if you buck. I don't understand the colloquialism there. Well, that means because sometimes guys explain so that means that you put your knuckles like this in a fighting position and if any crazy situation may happen or enter your circumstances or circumference, you find yourself ready to do battle. Praise God, knock if you buck. No, I'm going to use the things that God said about me to fight against the feeling that I have, fight against the circumstances that look opposite and contrary, because I got enough doubt growing on the inside that says can I inherit the promise of God? I don't need you coming in telling me something different. So no, I need to fight in the spirit. I need to fight to appropriate the things that belong to me. Let go of my stuff, devil. I believe the Lord. He is good and faithful, he is the Rede. He is the same yesterday, today and forever. Back up off me.
48:12
How many of you honestly trust what God is saying about you? See, I get it because it's a dual attack. It's an attack from outside and it's an attack from the inside because you have the enemy who knows that if you fulfill your God-given destiny, you're going to be the key that unlocks so many prison doors for so many people. In the will of God, your destiny is going to bless people. So the enemy sees that and he tries to discourage you in any way that he can. And unfortunately, your flesh gets in on it too and says we ain't never going to be nothing. You got to fight that. You got to fight that. You have to believe every last thing that God has said about you.
48:57
Listen, you might think that you are a screw up. I'm not disagreeing with you, but what I'm asking you to do is agree with what God said about you. He called you more. I didn't call you more than a conqueror. He called you more than a conqueror. He said that no weapon formed against you would prosper. He said that. So now you do like Pastor Mo, you take the screwed upness, the insufficiency, and you go.
49:31
Hey God, this is currently who I am, but you said I'm up here, so I'm going to go with your testimony, because the Bible says let the redeemed of the Lord say so. Who's going to say so with me? I'm going to say so. I am the redeemed. I have been bought with a price. I am called and chosen. I am a particular people. Come on, see, all of this is really to stir you up, to get you to a place where you would start appropriating the promises of God for your life.
50:05
You know, I had somebody. They told me after the David Wagner meetings. They were discouraged because they really set their faith for God speaking to them. They wanted to be called out among the sea of people and I said oh no, you're missing it, because there were so many words that were spoken over this house were so many words that were spoken over this house and I said you better go ahead and grab one of those and take it for yourself. Listen, there were words that were spoken that were not even specific words spoken to specific people, and I was like, thank you, and it's not that they weren't excited enough about that word, but I was smart enough to know oh no, that's mine. Pastor Bo sat right here in this seat and God gave him a word that he could host a move of God in New York City. I was sitting over here.
50:59
I said, thank you, put that right there, because if he don't want it, listen, I'm going to take that. But here's the beautiful part. I know he wants that. And guess what? I live in New York City. Guess what? He's the senior pastor of the church that I pastor. That means there's a move of God that we're going to host. Hey, do you want a move of God where we see people getting saved by the hundreds and thousands, where we see the presence of God moving like a wave? But that's the promise that has been given to the shepherd that's over the house that you're a part of? Pluck, keep that in my back pocket. Bang.
51:41
What has God spoken that you're not taking heed to? There are things that have been spoken that you just need to say God, I trust you. I believe that you will do this. I will see the promises of when Abram was. This is Genesis 17,. 1. When Abram was 99 years old, the Lord appeared to Abram and said to him I am almighty, god, walk before me and be blameless, and I will make my covenant between me and you and will multiply you exceedingly. Then Abram fell on his face and God talked with him, saying as for me, behold, my covenant is with you and you shall be a father of many nations. No longer shall your name be called Abram, but your name shall be Abraham, for I have made you a father of many nations. As Abraham got closer to the appointed time of the promised manifestation, god changed his name to make sure that he kept speaking according to the appointed time of the promised manifestation, god changed his name to make sure that he kept speaking according to the prophecy.
52:52
We see this concerning John the Baptist's dad. John the Baptist's dad was a seasoned priest who had an understanding of the spiritual realm, and he got a prophecy, and the angel that ministered that prophecy to him understood this guy's going to mess it up. He's going to screw the whole thing up Because he's already not talking right. You got to understand the gangsterness with which the angel was speaking to him. This is not just the Pastor.
53:25
More paraphrased by like this is in the Bible, gabriel said to him I'm Gabriel, angel, I stand in God's face. Bro, I told you what he said. You know what? Matter of fact, don't talk anymore. You won't be able to talk until God fulfills his promise. It wasn't a punishment, it was a precaution, because you have.
53:59
This is how you align yourself, because some people are like well, how do I appropriate the promises of God? Align yourself. Say what he said about you. How about, instead of I'm ugly, my back is so big, no, you got to say I'm comely and ruddy, like David before me. I am beautiful, blessed and highly favored of the Lord. I mean, I dare you to start talking like you are a victor and not a victim. I dare you to align yourself with the ways of God, with the words of God. You know what? We have a perfect opportunity before us. I want you to hand out the communion elements. We'll close with this. See, it's a funny thing. You know why we take communion the way that we do, at least once a month.
55:02
The Bible says that when you proclaim the Lord's death, you do show forth his coming and glory. What does it mean to proclaim the Lord's death? So when you're proclaiming the Lord's death, you're basically saying I agree with what you say about your death. Well, what does the Lord's death say? When you agree with the Lord's death, you say I agree that it is by your stripes that I'm healed. You agree and you say that all my sins have been forgiven and I am now, as the Bible says in the book of Hebrews, made perfect. You agree that you've been given joy that cannot be taken from you. You've been given an emotional health and a stability. You agree that he became poor, that through his poverty you would gain riches so that there's a financial health in your life. You agree to all of the things that he suffered on the cross. He did in exchange for you. He took your imperfection, he took your sin and your wickedness my sin, my wickedness and there was this beautiful divine exchange. But how many of us are willing to say I receive that by faith? It now belongs to me because you did this on the cross.
56:30
I'm proclaiming the Lord's death. You need to proclaim every promise of God over your life. Listen, god only has to tell me something one time. It's not that I'm going to be perfect in my obedience, but I'm going to keep that thing in my back pocket and keep reciting it in memory until I'm going to be perfect in my obedience, but I'm gonna keep that thing in my back pocket and keep reciting it in memory until I can step out in faith.
56:55
You know, I told the first service at the beginning of the year. We had this whole series called manifested abundance. We were believing for God to do something in particularly spectacular in the financial realm this year. How many people remember that it was a series of meetings that we had right? How many of you already forgot? You're not believing for that. That was a message that was preached. It came and it went. Not me I'm holding on. God promised that there was manifested abundance coming. I said thank you very much, right in the back pocket. I am actively believing for God to do that. Listen, before the end of this year, I will live in a home that I did not buy and I'm not talking hyperbole like there's a spiritual setting. No, no, no, I'm going to live in a house that I did not buy. It's already in the works. How did that happen? I agreed with God. I don't know how this thing works, because somebody comes up to you and goes hey, I'm going to give you my house and I want you to live in it.
58:10 - Speaker 2
Okay.
58:13 - Speaker 1
Because what do you really say to that? Like? You don't call them on a Tuesday and go. So you ready to give me your house now? No, that's like patting somebody's pockets, but what you do is go.
58:24
God, I agree with you. You say that manifested abundance is coming to this house. I'm a member of this house. I believe and I trust that when you say something it shall come to pass. I believe when you say that the wealth of the wicked is laid up for the righteous and I'm not saying the person who gave it to me is wicked, not by any means praise God, you can't be wicked giving out blessings like that, jesus. But there is this transference of wealth where God is trying to get his people things and stuff so that we can more, better, be equipped to do the work of the gospel. So I'm appropriating and I'm taking by faith, but I need you to do the same thing in every single area of your life.
59:10
Listen, that weekend, two weeks ago, other people were getting prophetic words and I was in the front row bawling because here it is. This man doesn't know you like I know you, I pray for you, I counsel you, I with you. So when I hear these words going out that specifically talk about the stuff going on in their life. I'm like, yes, god, do it. And then I just I look around the sanctuary at the different things that I see popping off already and I'm like, god, you're so faithful. Look at you, jesus, and it gives me the faith to take that encouragement from myself for the things that he said about me. I want you to do the same for yourself.
59:56
Take the communion elements in your hand. Father, god, we look to you, we look, we proclaim your death, we appropriate every promise that is in your word and we say yes and amen. We receive the forgiveness of sins, the healing of our body, the restoration of our soul and our relationships, lord, and everything that you've promised. Have your way in us. Father, in Jesus' name, please eat and drink. We let life happen as we intentionally step into what God is doing. We praise God for what's coming, what is and what was, and we speak what he spoke and agree as we expectantly wait. Rise to your feet, city Light. We're going to sing to God, and we're going to sing to God in faith and worship. We're going to sing, partnering with God, that the things that he has promised he is well able to provide.
