you're saying, but you're going to get it being tempted for 40 days by the devil, and in those days he ate nothing. 09:43.955 --> 09:46.183 So he was fasting 40 days, no food. 09:46.675 --> 09:49.260 mountain, showed him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time. 11:01.955 --> 11:11.987 Verse six and the devil said to him all this authority I give to you, and their glory for this has been you, jesus, I will never leave you, I will never forsake you, and he allows His Holy Spirit to come on you to strengthen you so that you'll be able to go through the fire and not get burned, go through the water and not drown, and be an overcomer on the other side of what you're going through. 13:48.370 --> 13:57.155 I need about three overcomers to lift up your hands and thank God for the overcoming spirit that's been getting on me. 13:57.550 --> 14:12.800 The same power that rose Jesus Christ from the dead is on the inside of you and has given you victory over death, hell and the good way to go into the wilderness Filled with the Holy Spirit? 14:52.174 --> 15:02.201 He goes into the wilderness filled with the Holy Spirit and he fasts for 40 days and 40 nights and then the devil comes to Him after the fast. 15:04.590 --> 15:08.420 Can I speak to some people who've been in this prayer of fasting for 21 days? 15:09.530 --> 15:12.278 You may come out filled with the Holy Spirit. 15:13.290 --> 15:21.452 Let's know that the devil's waiting on the other side to bring temptation, to bring heartache and pain. 15:23.470 --> 15:26.274 So we're going to go through the three Lord says that there is an anointing for breakthrough that's getting ready to hit this house. 16:02.054 --> 16:03.458 Oh, I just need three people. 16:04.350 --> 16:11.196 And there's going to be a weight of glory and a yoke breaking, anointing that's getting ready to hit this house. 16:12.071 --> 16:19.757 For every person who needs a breakthrough and a deliverance and a healing, god is getting 16:45.370 --> 16:46.115 But, Jesus answered. 16:46.155 --> 16:46.597 Saint him. 16:46.698 --> 16:50.898 It is written man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out the mouth of God. 16:51.310 --> 16:59.425 So Jesus didn't eat 40 days, 40 nights, and the first temptation the devil gives him is food. 17:02.738 --> 17:04.102 Turn this bread into stone. 17:05.151 --> 17:11.283 But then the Holy Spirit started speaking to me and saying it's more than physical food. 17:12.491 --> 17:23.499 The devil's temptation to Jesus was telling him that something carnal and fleshly can fulfill and satisfy him. 17:25.293 --> 17:26.460 Then you like, prove it to me. 17:26.823 --> 17:27.890 Let's go to Deuteronomy. 17:28.251 --> 17:29.597 Let's go to the scripture and Deuteronomy. 17:29.970 --> 17:31.716 Deuteronomy, chapter eight, verse two. 17:32.730 --> 17:37.801 Jesus wasn't just quoting a scripture just from the back of his mind. 17:39.071 --> 17:48.338 Jesus was actually looking at the Old Testament and was quoting Moses when he was talking about the children of Israel and their wilderness. 17:51.154 --> 17:53.720 Okay, they were in the wilderness for 40 years. 17:54.710 --> 17:56.438 Jesus was in the wilderness for 40 days. 17:57.190 --> 18:01.041 They failed in the wilderness, but Jesus passed the test in the wilderness. 18:01.590 --> 18:09.618 So what Jesus is saying is because I overcame the wilderness and I overcame the world, then you got the power to overcome the wilderness. 18:10.070 --> 18:13.603 You don't have to fall into the same trap as the children of Israel. 18:13.884 --> 18:18.814 Because I already overcame the wilderness and because I live on the inside of you. 18:18.854 --> 18:23.261 You have the same power to overcome every wilderness. 18:28.957 --> 18:32.890 So Jesus goes back and he quotes where Israel failed. 18:33.992 --> 18:36.438 He says they failed in the area of food. 18:39.290 --> 18:48.158 They failed in the area of cursing God because they didn't have enough food and they wanted to go back to Egypt and eat the cucumbers in Egypt. 18:50.571 --> 18:54.539 They'd rather be in slavery but have something that physically fills them. 18:56.830 --> 18:58.176 See, that's how crazy flesh is. 18:58.791 --> 19:10.160 Flesh will make you go back to areas that God already set you free from, just to satisfy a temporary need that can only actually be satisfied by the Holy Spirit. 19:12.772 --> 19:21.116 Some of you have placed so much attention on this void that's only inside, but you've tried everything to led you all these years, 40 years in the wilderness, to humble you and to test you to know whether what was in your heart or whether you would keep his commandments, are not looking. 19:55.657 --> 20:01.998 Verse three so he humbled you, allowed you to hunger, allowed you to hunger why? 20:02.230 --> 20:03.615 Because he wants to feed you. 20:05.070 --> 20:09.680 So he fed them with manna, but wilderness, he quotes Moses's sermon that Moses was preaching while they were in the wilderness and say devil, look, I'm using the scripture in its proper context to tell you to beat it. 32:28.370 --> 32:32.374 Woo, do it, go ahead. 32:32.776 --> 32:41.722 Oh, some of y'all, the devil been messing with your mind, messing with your money, messing with your health, messing with your get the word of God and tell the devil beat it. 32:42.236 --> 32:48.654 Some of you have authority over serpents and scorpions and over all the power of evil. 32:48.815 --> 32:51.108 You have power over Satan. 38:12.531 --> 38:15.752 So how did he go into the wilderness Filled with the Holy Spirit? 38:24.954 --> 38:32.265 All right, he goes through all of this stuff, tempted by the devil, not eating 40 days, 40 nights, all this stuff. 38:32.345 --> 38:35.816 And then look at Luke, chapter 4, verse 14. 38:35.965 --> 38:40.524 It says then Jesus returned in the power. 38:41.634 --> 38:42.644 Whoa, hold on. 38:43.807 --> 38:48.318 There's a difference between being filled and having power. 38:51.326 --> 39:00.291 So all of that that Jesus went through was not a punishment, it was an invitation for promotion. 39:05.833 --> 39:08.879 The wilderness wasn't there to kill him. 39:09.025 --> 39:10.350 It was there to reveal him. 39:12.328 --> 39:14.615 Oh, you're stronger than you think you are.
