Today on the CityLight Podcast, Nathaniel St. Eloi delivers a powerful Mother’s Day message centered on the story of the widow in 2 Kings 4. Honoring mothers, spiritual mothers, and women of faith, he highlights how God consistently works through ordinary people whose obedience, prayer, and courage impact generations.

Through the widow’s story, Nathaniel reminds listeners that God is not limited by what seems small or insignificant. What the woman believed was “not enough”—a small jar of oil—became the very thing God used for miraculous provision. Drawing a connection between the oil and the anointing of the Holy Spirit, he challenges believers to stop focusing on what they lack and recognize what God has already placed within them.

The message emphasizes prophetic faith, obedience, prayer, and the importance of the secret place. As Nathaniel encourages listeners to become empty vessels before God, this episode becomes a timely reminder that breakthrough often begins with surrender. No matter how small the starting point may seem, God is able to bring overflow through what is already in your hands.

All right put your hands together for Nathaniel St. Lloyd. Praise God that was better than the eloquent day. Here's what he did. I was like is he introducing the right person? They cheer for you not for me. I promise. Man God is good. Happy Mother's Day to all the amazing mothers out there. Some of you didn't stand up. Some of you are stepmothers, bonus mothers, aunts who raise kids, grandmothers who raise kids. Some of you may have not even had kids of your own but you were there and you stood in the gap and I just want to say I appreciate each and every one of you guys and all the hard work you put in for real. It's a big deal. It's a big deal. I kind of it's kind of a mother's day sermon. What do you guys call it? Who were it in the first service? Kind of a mother's day sermon. Kind of it felt like a woman in empowerment but men were getting stuff from it too. Right? Could you say something like that? Yeah, I feel like it was really good and you want to know why because I just feel like the Holy Ghost took over and I was preaching and I was like this is good but it wasn't me. It was God just flowing the way he flows so I believe. Let me say something. One thing I love about this church is that women aren't kicked to the back and told to be quiet like some other churches. Women are empowered in this church because you guys are the crown of God's creation. You guys have a powerful ministry and in these last days God's not just pouring out his spirit on men. God's pouring out his spirit on women. I believe that there's God is going to raise up women in this generation who's going to turn the tide of how women are even looked in this generation. They're going to break the back of this demonic feminism that's hit the Western world and they're going to bring a biblical perspective of how women should look, walk, talk, live, preach, do ministry, do business. I believe it. I believe it's some powerful women being raised up in these last days. Amen. Y'all didn't say amen like you really believe it. I believe there's some battle access and some weapons of war that God are raising up. There's some temperors that God's raising up. There's some chocobens that God's raising up. There's some women of value. You're like, I don't even know who that is. That's Moses mama. The same woman who saw Moses and the Bible says she saw the beauty in him and said he cannot die at the hands of Pharaoh. I'm going to protect him and save him because he's going to change the generation. There's some women like that. Man, I let's get into the word. Look how I say something. My favorite type of woman in the Bible is not even the one who has a name because throughout the scripture, there's all these women with names. There's even there's Sarah and there's Mary and there's Elizabeth and there's Chocoban and there's women. Their names are clear here but then there's women who they don't even have a name. It just says the woman with the issue of blood. No name but her face shifted something. You know what the Bible even says about that woman? She has so much faith that she touched the hem of Jesus garment and then from that time on, other people started doing the same thing and being healed. Her faith provoked people. I believe there's all type of women. Yeah, you may not feel like everyone knows who you are. You're not social media famous. Yeah, you don't have 25,000 people following you. Yeah, your TikTok's not popping. Yeah, you're not known by everyone, but guess what? You're known by heaven and I'd rather be known by having been known by the masses. I'd rather Jesus know who I am so that when I get to heaven, he doesn't go. I don't know you and I believe there are those type of women who have an intensity and prayer and intensity of fasting and intensity and seeing their family saved and delivered and intensity and seeing the kingdom of God advanced on the earth as we raised up in this last days and men too. But the Bible says your sons and daughters shall prophesy. Amen. All right. I told I said this in the first ever. Let me say it again. I my my middle child. His name is Judah. He's just different. Everyone who means he's just different. Like that's my guy. I don't want to say he's my favorite. Because you know, you get in trouble. You can't say stuff like that as a parent. But he's my favorite. But he's not my favorite. All my favorite. It's nothing about this kid. He's different. He doesn't move like the other one. He's just different. And yesterday we celebrated his birthday. We had a birthday party for him. His birthday is a few days from now. And I just kept reminiscing, thinking back because he had like a severe speech delay and he couldn't say a lot of words. And now I can't get him to stop talking. I'm like, baby, I'm tired. I love you. But 28 minutes straight. I just, I'm good. You want to talk to Jesus? He's always. But there was one word. He's about to be seven years old. And I promise he's probably like 32 pounds soaking wet. Skinny. I didn't get them genetics. God. Why? I don't get it. You don't love me that much. I want to be skinny. God. But I'm talking about, he got that from my wife, right? He's skinny. I see his bones. I tell him eat more, eat more. Skinny. But when he was a baby, he didn't know. I mean, young too. He didn't really know a lot of words a year and a half. He didn't know many words. But there's one word he knew. Eat. Eat. He knew the word. He didn't know anything else. But eat. He knew. Eat. Right? Eat. Eat. He just tapped you over and over. Eat. Eat. Eat. Eat. He's done. He's like, eat. And I remember this one particular day. I'm on the stove and I'm cooking for him. I think like craft mac and cheese. I know it's terrible for your kids. I don't care judge for me if you want to. I'm cooking craft. I'm like cooking for him. Getting everything ready. Eat. Eat. Eat. I'm like, bro, I'm making the food right now. You don't have to tap me 8,000 times. Look, the food I'm making the food. Eat. Eat. Eat. Finally, I get annoyed. And I'm like, you know what? I lift him up and I show him the food that I'm making. Look. Look. I'm making you the food right now. And that's when heaven gave me a revelation. There's a lot of people out there that go into their heavenly father. Eat. Eat. Save my family. Do the miracle in my body. Heal me. Change my situation. And the father today, here's what he's going to do through this word. He's going to lift you up and he's going to show you his perspective. I'm already working it out for you. You don't got to cry. You don't got to fret. You don't got to be afraid. You don't have to keep tapping me. I am already working it out for you. Divine provision is coming. The blessing of God is being released and God's going to do what he promised. All right, let's get into the word. Second King, chapter four, second Kings, the four chapter. I want to talk about one of these women who basically have no name. Like, it's interesting because when I read it, it says a certain woman of the wives, of the fact, a certain woman, they just seem so informal. I know the Bible sometimes doesn't mention the person's name, but at least the woman with the issue of blood, at least you know her by what she's going through. The woman with the spirit of infirmity, at least you know, she's sick. That's the sick woman right there. When with the issue of blood, oh, that's when we got the blood issue. Right? And the Bible says about the serifredition woman. You don't know her name, right? But you know where she's from. You know the shoot of my woman. You don't know her name, but you know she's from shoot of them. You know, you know, you know at least their title. You know, at least it's like looking at a woman like, yo, that's a chick from Brooklyn. At least you know, like, this is where she's from. This woman doesn't even get any of the pleasantries. Not only does she get a name, it's just a certain one random certain who certain woman right there. But you're going to see how her faith shifts her family from a death sentence to a place of life. You're going to see how this woman who doesn't even have a title because God doesn't care in these last days about titles and names and reputations. He's going to raise up a nameless faceless generation. The generation that no one knows who you are, but your faith is going to literally shift the trajectory of this nation. Your prayers are going to have such impact on your family that not just you are going to be saying your kids are going to be saying your kids kids are going to be saying you're going to have so much equity and prayer that is going to shift generations. So much equity and prayer that is not just going to impact your kids are going to impact their kids and then theirs kids kids and then and great, great, great, great, great, great grandkids are going to be impacted because of your prayers. Raise up a generation of God loving God, fearing, powerful women and men of God. Man, I believe it for you. A certain woman, see if so a former of the wives of the sons of the prophet. All right. Y'all got dinner plans, right? You better be taking your mama. If you're not taking your wife out, we're going to fight. At least cook her a meal, do something, right? So, I ain't going to be long. Right? Next time I come, I lay hands, I don't know, we can do all that. This time preach, boom. I go see my wife, okay? Get me in trouble. Man, a God lay hands, pray by faith, the Lord could do it. I don't have to lay hands. All right, let me knock you myself in. Any more so. A certain woman of the wives of the sons of the prophet cried out to a large person saying, your servant, my husband is dead and you know that your servant feared the Lord and the creditor is coming to take my two sons to to be his slaves, verse two. So Alisha said to her, what shall I do for you? Tell me what do you have in the house? And she said your maid servant has nothing in it she remembers. I don't have nothing. I've got something. It's not a lot, but she remembers. I have nothing in my house, but a small jar of oil, a little bit of oil. One version literally says a little bit of oil. Not a lot, but enough that God can use. Then he said go borrow vessels from everywhere, from your neighbors empty vessels do not gather a few. Verse four, and when you have come in, you shall shut the door behind you, you and your sons and then poured into the vessels and set aside the full ones. Verse five, so she went from him, shut the door behind her and her sons and brought the vessels to her and she poured it out. Now it came to pass when the vessels were full that she said to her sons, bring me another vessel and he said to her there's not another vessel, so the oil ceased. Then she came and told the man of God and he said go sell the oil and pay your debts and you and your sons will live off the rest. May God bless the reading of his word. See this story is very interesting to me because like I said it's about a woman and she has no name. She doesn't even have a title. You don't even know her by her situation. She's just just random woman. She's married to the prophet, married to the man of God and he ends up dying and she ends up impoverished. She ends up with nothing. It's even worse than nothing. She ends up in debt. Debt to the point where creditors want to come and take her children and make them slaves. I'm talking about this as a woman who's in a desperate situation with her family and a desperate situation in her life and she understands something that I need a prophetic word that's going to break me out of my funk and break me out of my situation. Can I just say something that I've realized in church is that we have great motivational speakers. We have great people who can communicate but we don't have prophetic words anymore. We don't have words that go right into the depth of what you're going through and speak right into the core of who you are, the core of your pain, the core of your agony, the core of your defeat, the core of the things you're going through and speak to the situation and bring a breakthrough into your situation. It comes like a two edges sword that pierces the vision of soul and spirit. I'm talking about the type of word you get from God that you come in one way and you leave another way. I'm talking about the type of word from God where you come in despondent and broken and rejected and depressed and you leave with the joy of the Lord being your strength. I believe that God's going to raise up those type of preachers again, those type of prophetic voices again who are going to speak right into the soul of people and watch them go from darkness to light, watch them go from poverty to prosperity, watch them go from darkness to God's presence overflowing on the inside. I believe it. You need a word from God. You need a prophetic message from God to break through your situation. You need a ramour word. There's two words in the word for Greek. There's one logos. It means the written word and ramour means a word spoken into your situation that brings breakthrough. I believe God's going to give you ramour words. Words that go right directly into your childhood and break breakthrough for what happened to you when you were eight years old. I'm talking about the type of prophetic words that's spoken that you're like, man, did the preacher know what I went through this week? I'm talking about the prophetic words that just don't hit your mind, but they get deep into your soul and they bring resurrection life to you. Resurrection power to you. They quicken the things that were dead on the inside of you. The dreams and the visions start coming alive. Like, like, things that you felt like, man, I couldn't do. Once you hear a word that pierces you like that, you're like, man, I could do it. Y'all 90 years old, but I could still accomplish it. You start feeling like you're Caleb. No, the Bible says about Caleb. Caleb was 80 years old. He had the strength of a 45-year-old. He was like, I got this. I believe there's that kind of word coming from heaven. That's going to break through. And anytime we get rid of the prophetic word in the church and we start just doing nice homilies and we start doing nice, a prissy stuff, we miss the power of God. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. We got a lot of nice great preachers, but we need prophets again. We need people who can look at what's going on in the nation and speak a word that's going to bring breakthrough in the White House, breakthrough in Congress, breakthrough in the Senate, breakthrough in New York City, break go right into City Hall and bring breakthrough. I believe it. There's some people God's raising up with a voice like that. We're not just afraid, but we're going to speak God's word with power and conviction and strength. We need it again. We don't need all of this stuff. We need God's power again. So this woman, the Bible says her husband, the prophet died. You know when the prophetic dies in a region, in a church, in a community, that's the grounds for the enemy to come in and for lack and poverty to come in. Anytime you remove God from a nation, from a people, from a generation, that's when a generation falls and dies. I'm a prover to you biblically. There's a man his name was Joseph. He was the prophet of his family. He's the one God was giving dreams to. I don't know if you remember in Egypt. If you don't know the story, please go read it. Read the whole thing in Genesis. It's very powerful. Joseph's story is profound. He gets these dreams from God. His brothers get jealous of him. Even his parents are like, we don't know if this is really like you might be forcing this a little bit. And eventually his brothers get so jealous of him. They take him. They put him in a pit. And then when they see these traders, these media night traders, they sell him. These Ishmaelites traders. They sell him into the land of Egypt. And he goes into the land of Egypt. And you know what the Bible says happens not too long after his family ends up in poverty. They end up in a famine and they don't know what to do. And guess what? In Egypt, they're actually in prosperity. Egypt ain't no godly nation. This is a pagan evil nation. But it was one that accepted the prophet. And because they accepted the prophetic word and the prophetic voice, they were blessed while one kicked the prophetic word out and the perfect. That's why you look at some churches and some of these churches, you're like, man, I church is dead. It's because they don't allow God to speak anymore. They don't even believe God speaks anymore. They're called non-profit churches. I ain't talking about 501c3 either. See, that's some Christian jokes, y'all ain't gay. If y'all would save long enough, you may not get it. But enough of these non-profit churches, we need churches with a PhDs, prophesy, heal and deliver. God's raising them up. I don't care about how many degrees you have. If you don't have the PhD, then I don't want to be there. I don't want a church. I come in sick and I leave sick. I come in broken. I leave broken. I come in in chains and I leave in chains. It'll work like that. I gotta come to a place where I leave and I'm liberated from the chains. It can't be the same old, same old. I'm just here every Sunday. No resurrection powers here. The same power that rolled Jesus Christ from the dead lives on the inside of you. I said this in the last service. The Holy Spirit is in you like a river, not like a lake. Which means there's a constant flow. A lake, things die. A lake, things are stagnant. But a river, things are constantly moving. And the Holy Spirit is in you like a river. Can I get to my first point? Because I spent way too much on that intro. But I felt God on that. How people were there with me? Like so she goes to the prophet and let me tell you in this generation you don't need to go to a prophet. You want to know why? Because everything you need isn't the Holy Ghost that's in you. When I need a word I'm like oh man of God can you get a word? No, no, no, no. Lord what are you trying to say to me? Give me a word that's going to change my situation. So she goes to the prophet. She goes to Alisha, right? She says Alisha, man of God. My husband's dead. And they're about to take my kids as slaves. What should I do? And then he says something to react to her question. He asked her two questions. But the second question is the most relevant. He's like what should I do for you? It's pretty obvious what she wants done. But the second question is the one that's really interesting to me. Because the second question she says, what do I have? What do you have in the house? The prophet asked her a very pointed question. Hey, I know you're in debt. I know you have nothing. But you've got to have something in the house that I could work with. Because you know, God just needs something to work with. Some of y'all don't give God nothing to work with. At least give me 10 minutes in the morning and pray. Did I give you some direction about your day? But some of you give God nothing to work with. Oh, just obey me on this small instruction. Go to church every Sunday. But some of us give God nothing to work with. It's so interesting that she didn't have much all she had in her house. You got to see this level of being just poor. You got to see the level of poverty she was at. She had nothing. All she had was a little bit of oil, a small jar of oil. And the prophet goes perfect. Yep, definitely could use that. Some of you may be looking at yourselves, especially a lot of women. Every time I talk to my wife, there's just this guilt all the time with women. Like mom guilt. And I don't feel like I'm doing enough. She's always like, man, I want to do more for my kids. I want to do more. I want to do more. And I'm like, you do everything here. I barely do anything. And I tried my hardest, but I'm like, how do they do this? Does she sleep? No, we don't. But this woman is looking at her situation. And she's like, I got nothing left. I got nothing else to give. I got nothing else to give, God. I've given people my time, my energy, my reason I give them everything. And you know what? Some of you, it's right. You've given stuff to everyone. You gave your heart to the man. You gave your money to friends. Ooh, they can't say amen, say ouch. I give it all my resources. It's my job. I have nothing else, God. I was like, you do have something, oil. And the answer to what you're looking for is not money. It's oil. Oil symbolizes the anointing. And you may not have many resources, but can I tell you something? You got in your house. You got the anointing. Oh, yeah, but I can't preach. And I don't pray like they do. No, no, no, as long as you're a believer and the Holy Spirit lives inside of you, you have the anointing. And you have enough oil for your miracle. You got enough oil to see God do something special in your life. You know, the Bible talks about 10 virgins and five packed enough oil and five didn't. And all night, they're burning the lips and the five who ran out and like, can we borrow some of y'all? No, no, no. I got my oil here. And when the bridegroom comes and he knocks on the door, guess who's left in the house, the five with the oil? So I want to tell you something, in all you're getting, you want to get the grease, you want to get a nice house, you want to get all this stuff, you want to be self-sufficient, you want to have all these resources, get oil. You know what? It's going to keep you in the last days. It's not your money, it's not your reserve in Bitcoin, even though I think you have reserves in Bitcoin and reserves in gold and all of that stuff, what's going to keep you in the last days is oil. You need the anointing. And she didn't have anything but she had oil in the house. It's the oil that's going to keep you. You got enough oil. And I know some of you're looking at she's like, but me? With my education, with my background, with my failures, with my short comedies, with my shame, with my combination, with what happened to me when I was a child, and how I grew up and what I've been through, maybe I don't have it. And God's like, no, you got it. Everything you need, he's already placed the side of you. Agabobus is everything pertaining to life and godliness. He's put it already in you. You don't got to go look at the outside for it. It's already in you. All the powerful things you need, all the resources you need, God's already placed the side. All the resources for you to be a millionaire, it's already in you. All the resources you need to be prosperous and to be blessed and to live your best life and to do everything God's called you to do and commission you to do on this earth. It's already inside of you. The thing is that you look at it and you're like, I have nothing. I have nothing because that's our first response. Our first response was in like, I got oil. She's like, I got nothing. And some of you are looking at some of the gift things and some of the things God places. I didn't like, I didn't got nothing. And God's like, but what about this? If you just use this, I can use this because I don't need much. All I need is a little bit. All I need is a mustard seed of faith and you can tell them out to be removed from here to there and that has to be removed. All I need is just a small amount and I can do a miracle. All I need is just a little bit. All I need is five loaves and two fish and you can put it in the hands of a big God and wash the five loaves and two fish multiply and feed five thousand men not including women and children. All I need is something small in the hands of a big God and it can do mighty miracles. All I need is something small in the hands of a mighty God and it can change your generation. It can shift the generation. It can shift the people out of darkness. All I need is your small obedience. It's a little bit of oil. Just a little bit because you have to look at that culture. Oil was essential. They used it for soaps. They used it to cook. They used it to clean. Almost everything needed olive oil. Almost everything needed oil. For consecrations when they were consecrating the priests, they'll denote them with oil. A sign of favor is when they will pour oil on your head. Oil was significant. And so she looked at it. I just got a little bit of oil. God's like, oh, where? Y'all can use that. God's here. God's here. That's it. It's like the talents, the parable of the talents. I mean, I'm going to got one talent. Just try to hide it and then you lose it. This is the Bible says, if you don't use it, you lose it. That ain't me. That's the Bible. Man had one talent. He's like, I'm going to have one talent. I ain't going to use this talent. I'm just going to keep it here. And you know the Bible says, the person who had five talents, Jesus looked at that person because they multiplied it to 10. Jesus looked at that person and said, hey, this person who had one who hit it, I'm going to give it to the person with 10. Because you look at what you have, it's not enough. Let me try to hide it. It's not enough. Let me not talk about it. It's not enough. It's not enough. It's so easy to have a laundry list of what you don't have. It's so easy to talk about. Man, but I don't have the connections. Well, I don't have the resources. Well, I don't have the people backing me up. Well, I don't have a big family like they have. Well, I don't have the support of certain people, right? I don't have the money that they have. I don't have the creativity they have. I don't have the wisdom they have. I can't preach like them. I can't pray like them. I can't prophesy like them. I don't speak in tongues like, look, they just, they speak fancy tongues. I have beginner tongues, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, black sheep. How have you any wool? Yes, sir. Yes, sir. Three bags full. I watched too many kids stuff. But I don't have what they have. They got the advanced tongues. Oh, God, they're fancy with it. Like, and God's like, it's so interesting that God when he picks people is usually the ones who don't have it all together is usually the ones who have been a mess, who had the babies out of wedlock, who got a divorce, who's broken, who, who things happen to them when they were a child, who, who had a rough upbringing is the one's those God. He chooses the fullest things of the world to confound the wise. He looks at those with the rough book backgrounds and he goes, I want to use you for my glory. Not misperfect, not Mr. Get everything all together. It's the ones who are like, blah, blah, I don't know. I can't even speak Moses. Oh, God, I'm starting to rock. I can't even say, oh, yeah, you the perfect candidate. Come here. Someone God wants to use. Look at it. Saul, man, I'm killing Christians. You like that right here? I got some moves. Go look, you're killing Christians. God goes, you're the one who's been anointed to preach the gospel to the Gentiles. You're going to write 75% of the New Testament. And then you're talking about God can't use you. You didn't even kill no one. Well, some, yeah, I don't know. If you did, just no God can use you still. The first thing the prophet was like, what you got in the house? I got some oil. Here's the second thing. And this one, you gotta listen to this instruction. The prophet was like, you got oil. But now you need something. Go borrow vessels from all your neighbors. And he gave a specific instruction, empty vessels. And he says, do not gather just a few. Get as many vessels as you can. And then this second point kind of blew my mind. Because like, what does this mean? Okay, we need to oil, but go borrow vessels. And the Lord was like, the second way I'm going to bless you is not because of you. It's because of those you are connected with. And one thing I realize about what the devil's tried to do in this generation is make you so connected with people, but at the same time, disconnected with people. We're so connected. Like, man, there's friends from elementary school that I found online. Like, I have not seen you in ex amount of years. I tell you on my age, no, I don't care, I'm 30, 30. Well, the month, 30, 20. Lord, I can't lie. You lie, you die. In the spirit, I'm 25. They're like, you got all this gray, you ain't no 25. But 38, people I haven't seen in 30 years, I go online and it's like, connector, hold on, we're in third, fourth grade together. This is insane. It's a generation you're so connected. You go online, you can't figure anything out. You can connect with people around the world. Back in my days, we went to connect with someone, remember we had pen pals. I get to write a letter, it took six weeks for that letter to reach the Philippines. And you had a pen pal in the Philippines and in that pen pal, wrote you back 30 years later. You had kids, a beard, everything. You finally get a letter back. It seemed like back then it was easier to connect with people, but it was also harder to connect with people, but you can actually connect with the real person. Now you cannot even connect with people for real. Everything is a DM. Everything is TikTok. Everything is social media. It's like no one has real conversations. A lot of my friends, I don't, I refuse to answer their texts because I call them and they try to text me. I'm not texting you. I want to hear your voice. I want real connections because a lot of the breakthroughs in your life are not going to happen through social media. They're going to happen through real connections. That's why coming to church every week. That's why going to small groups. That's why connecting with other believers throughout the week is so valuable and important. Why? Because it brings real connection. The Bible says do not forsake the coming together of one another. Why? Because God sees the importance of connection and this woman was about to experience a miracle but it couldn't happen without other people. This woman was about to experience a breakthrough like she'd ever seen before but it took other people and I believe God sending you your tribe. I believe God sending you your people. I believe God sending you the prayer warriors who are going to stand around you in a circle and say we're not going to stop praying until you get breakthrough for your children. We're not going to stop praying until your marriage gets restored. We're not going to stop praying until you get breakthrough in your body and the cancer shrivels and when you go to the doctor they say no more cancer in your body. You need people. This mentality I don't need community. I don't need people. It's a lie. It's one of the biggest tricks of the enemy to make you some lone ranger and think that you have superpowers because what happens when we live like that and when we think like that we start treating our situation like it's the most unique situation in the world. Man no one's ever been through what I've been through. Start being like Elijah no one and then I have the young me one who didn't bow down and then God's like there's a bunch of people. What are you talking about? You're not the only one. It's something like man but what happens if you and I was a child start talking to some of the people here. They may not look like what they went through but they been through some stuff. I'm going to be through some stuff stuff stuff and God pulled them out and thank God that he has enough power to pull people out of stuff and they don't even smell like the fire they've been in. They don't even look like the storm they've been through. They don't even look like the trials. My God my God I feel something in here. Has anyone God just pulled you out of something and you even look like what you went through. If you told someone they're like you should be in their G building. You should be dead. Your family should be a mess. No even had not been for the Lord on my side. Man I don't look like what I went through. A lot of gray hair but I still look good. All right we need people. I have two minutes. neighbors. We need community. You know there was a man in the Bible. The Bible says he was paralyzed. He couldn't walk. He couldn't move. He needed a miracle. Jesus was in the house. Peter's mother-in-law's house. You know what the Bible says? He walked there and got his miracle. No. No we didn't say that because not everything you get is because of you or your hard work or your grinding. I know this generation man I grind it for this. Yeah you've got about the thousand people that supported you. Don't forget there's people who prayed you where you are. There's people who supported you where you're at. Don't be so prideful to think you did it all on your own. I'm so grateful that I know where I am in life and I am in ministry isn't because of anything I've done. First of all is the grace of God. Secondly is the prayers of the saints that pushed me to where I'm at. They'll tell me I'm doing this no more God. I'm tired. Ministry these church folk began on your nerves. Not y'all y'all are good the good church folk. I'm talking about the other church folk. But you want to quit but I can I can feel the times I want to quit the prayers of the saints hitting me and then someone calls me out of the blue or says me a message like I've been praying for you and I'm like I know I felt it because I was about to just lose it and something hit me and it wasn't me I was in praying I was in super spiritual. They're prayers just intercepted and did something. The power of having to write people around you. People who aren't hating because you're doing well. They're not jealous because you're doing well. They're actually happy. I can't wait till you get your breakthrough. So this man lame. You know the Bible says cut the roof of the house. That's called property damage. You can go to jail for that. But they were so desperate for their friend to get a breakthrough. They didn't care what it took. They broke through the roof the Bible says and they lowered the man down and then the Bible says Jesus saw the friend's faith and healed the man because of his friends. So not everything you get is because of you sometimes it's because someone else's faith stood in the gap for your lack of faith. I can't get to my last point and I'm over by 23 seconds so far. Can y'all give me five more minutes? I know you got the mother's day plans. Not everyone didn't clap so I'm going to clap on the inside. Okay they're like I'm shy. I don't want to clap. Y'all are funny. But here's the last thing. It's woman desperate. In need her family already severely damaged by her husband's death and now her kids are going to be taken away. That means she's going to lose everything. You have to understand something about that culture as well. When your kids die, that means you're essentially dead because your kids were next in line to take care of you if your husband passed away. So essentially this was not just her kids losing their lives but she was going to lose everything. She was going to end up on the streets impoverished and eventually dead. She knew the point that she was at. Man you know what I love about church and what I loved about old school church is that when things got to the point of desperation, you know who the church usually called? The old church mothers who said I mean the saints, the women. I'm not saying they weren't men there but there was something about the cry of a woman for a generation. It was like this maternal spiritual instinct that God placed in women. Where they could just pray things through and they could reach heaven and it's like they're like that woman who the scripture says one injustice from the judge and who knocked on the door and kept knocking and the Bible says even when the judge was trying to use the bathroom she's knocking on the door and finally the judge gets to the point of annoyance and he says I wasn't going to do this for you but because of your audacious attitude I have to bring the breakthrough. Where are the audacious attitudes in church again? I'm not going to stop knocking. I'm not going to stop seeking. I'm not going to stop praying. I'm not going to stop fasting. I'm not going to stop going after God until I see the breakthrough. So the last structure she was given was interesting. Get your sons, get the oil, get the vessels, go into a room and shut the door behind you. The prophet goes I'm not even going to be in the room but you know it's interesting even though he was in the room God was in the room. Shut the door behind you and then you're going to see your miracle. Jesus talks about this. He talks about it in Matthew chapter seven when he talks about how you should pray. What does he say? He said there's some people the only prayers they do is out loud for everyone to see. Thou thy righteous savior, master supreme, omnipresent, omnipotent, righteous one so everyone can see them. Impressed with their rhetoric, impressed with their verbiage, impressed with their syntax, impressed with their abilities. Ah God's like not we good with that. Said when you pray let me tell you how to pray go into your secret place like that word in the Greek secret place right. I had a few different meanings. First it meant like a safety deposit box. You know safety deposit boxes. What do you put in there? Your most valuable possessions, your treasures, right? You put your most important biocurribian, right? When my mom came here, there was no safety deposit. The most valuable stuff you put that during under your mattress. Mama need my birth certificate because I'm trying to get a passport. She left up that mattress. Damn. Got it right here. But as you graduate, right? You like not I didn't wisdom. I don't make sense. So you get that you know that one safety deposit the one they got to handle on it. Y'all act like you don't. Y'all too bougie. You know what I want to handle? Got a little lock. That's the one. Yeah. And then when you really start getting money, then you get one of the nice ones. You go one of them nice joints. It's like big. And then when you really got money, that's how I know you got money. If I see this in your house, I know you're rich. When it's installed in the wall. You got some money. I'm going to get there in Jesus' name. I'm having a nice big safe installed in my wall. But no, but seriously, that's what it meant. A safety deposit box. A place where you put your most important. Then it changed over time. And it the word became known as the bedroom chambers. The bedroom chambers. I'm not talking about any room in the house, right? You got the kitchen. You got the for me, I have never put cameras in my house. When people usually put cameras in their house, what's the one place or the couple of places they don't put the bad, the them in the house, the bathroom, and the open, common space. You better make sure you got your clothes on. Open, common space, you better not be talking no foolishness because I can hear you on the camera. Because those places are common and they're open and anyone can be there. When you invite someone to your house, you invite them to the open, common areas. You could chill in my living room, but if they start sneaking up, what you're doing in here? This is an intimate place. This is not a common place. When Jesus uses the word for the secret place, He's saying, this is not a common place. This is not a regular place. This is not a place where even people who ain't your friends, they come to your house, and I'm trying to sell you this vacuum. You don't invite that guy to your bedroom. You want to stay in my living room. I don't know you. But you invite in your bedroom those you're intimate with. I don't know if you got kids, but kids are mad nosy. They're the church saying, man, they hear everything, even things that aren't for them. You like talking low to you, oh, really be going to six flags? But I wasn't talking to you. Oh yeah, how are we going to Disney World? I don't know. So when I want to tell my wife something very important, intimate, I tell her where all the kids get here. I go up to the third floor, because that's what my bedroom is. Mad steps. I got a lot of steps. Go up to the third floor, I'm out of breath. Cool, babe. Yo, babe, I tell you something crazy. That's how I always serve. It's like, yo, and my face is just like this, yo. She's like, babe, what, what, what? And I'm like, yo, I'm still doing yo for like six minutes later. And I tell her, hey, babe, here's what's going on. I tell her to drama, because I don't want anyone else to hear because it's an intimate place. This woman was right at the brink of her miracle. She had the oil, she had the vessels, empty vessels. She had everything she needed, but there was one thing I was missing. Shut the door. There's a generation that the brink, I'm telling you, the enemy wants to destroy this generation. It wants to bring gender confusion, wants to bring fear, wants to bring doubt, wants to bring all types of sexuality into this generation. Once people tonight even understand who they are, and the only way this generation is going to be saved is we could find people to close the door. Close the door in prayer. Get back to your secret place. If you've lost it, get back. If you've never had it, this is the moment where you say, God, I'm going to wake up 30 minutes early every day because I want to develop that secret place with you. I want to know you. I want to have a relationship with you because you know the interesting about the secret place. The Bible says that God's already there waiting for you in the secret place. It says the Father who's already in the secret place, which means he's not out there in the ether. He's at the place of intimacy waiting for you to show up. He's on the bed like this. You finally came in. I've been waiting for you all this time. Thank you for showing up. Now we could talk. Now I can change your life. Now I can change you more than I change your situation. Because once he changes you, then guess what? You have the power to change your situation. That's how the act of a God to change a situation. God's like, if I change you, then I can empower you to change your situation. Pick up your bed and walk. Jesus is not like, Jesus ain't going, I'm going to pick up your bed. I'm going to do all the work for you. Just like, I'm giving you enough power to pick up your own mess. Imagine a man living on the ground for 30 years. His bed isn't just a bed. It's a whole mess. Get your mess together and get out of here. Be free. The Lord wants you to close the door. So today, if you didn't get anything, shut the door. Get into the place of prayer. Wherever that is, if that's at night, I don't know how y'all people do stuff at night. I sleep at night. Right? These people, they be up like three o'clock in the morning. I can't do it. But if that's your time, get your time with God. If it's the morning, you got to wake up early and sacrifice. I know you get on the train at 5.30. Right? I know you got to wake up at 5. But wake up at 4.30. Make that commitment to the Lord. Lord, I'm going to close the door because I want to spend time with you and I want to know you and I know you're waiting for me in the secret place. And I'm going to meet you here so that we can have intimacy so that we can pray so that we can get to know each other. God, I want to know you. And you know what the Bible says? She closed the door behind her and then she starts pouring the oil, the little jar of oil. How did that little jar of oil start filling vessels? That little jar of oil, that's what I told you. You got enough for your miracle. Everything you need for the miracle is already in you and God is waiting for that secret place because that's what activates what's already inside of you. That's what activates and awakens what's already inside of you. And so she starts pouring and pouring and pouring and the oil only stops because she runs out of empty vessels. That oil would have still been pouring like, yeah. And Holy Spirit wants to keep pouring oil in you and he's saying, where are the empty vessels in the secret place? Are you an empty vessel in the secret place? Because then he could keep pouring and pouring and pouring and pouring and pouring. I mean, you going to be so oily, you're going to slip all over the place. May you go to your job, you're going to be so oily, think of like saying it's different about you. You got to oil a joy instead of sadness. You what? There's oil oil. They don't look at you. I'm like, you need to pray for me because there's something about you. You're going through, but you just happy. Yeah, it's called the joy of the Lord. It's my strength. I got oil. Somebody say, I got oil. I mean, I got all the money, but I got oil. I mean, I have all the resources, but I got oil. And all I need for my miracle is oil. You got a number on the inside of you for the breakthrough you've been praying for. The Holy Ghost is in you like a river. Come on, stay up to your feet. We're about to go father. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you for what you've done in this place. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you for these amazing people at this amazing church. Thank you for these amazing women. I pray that they'll begin to uncover and discover who they really are in you. Lord, I thank you. I thank you. I thank you for the gifts of the Holy Spirit. I'm going to flow through this church. Untap in wells. Untap into wells. Be discovered in this place. Wells of revelation. Wells of insight. Wells of gifts. Untap potential come forth out of these people. I pray, Lord, there'll be reservoirs that they didn't even know that we're on the inside of them that become uncovered by the Holy Spirit. Thank you, Lord, for doing it for your people in Jesus' name and all God's people shout. The best part of the story is the Bible says she had enough oil, not only for herself. She had enough oil to get rid of all of her debt and then the Bible says she lived off the rest for her entire life. I just want to give someone a word right now who feels like they don't got enough resources. I want to let you know you got enough oil for the breakthrough and not just enough you're about to live on overflow. Let me try to say it again for some real believers because if you really believe that you will lift up your hands and shout like you're about to hit the season of overflow and abundance. You're about to inch be introduced to a new season. Your new address is called overflow. Your new address is overflow. Somebody say my new address is overflow. If you believe it, shout yes.
